I've known Sgt Justin L. since he was 12 years old, he was my daughter's boyfriend through high school, went on our family vacations with us and was like one of our kid's.
Justin is at Bagram AFB Hospital...both his femurs are broken, his left leg was so mangled the doctors amputated it below the knee, theyre still evaluating further amputations on the remaining leg(s). They removed his spleen, he has a lacerated liver, several broken ribs and a punctured lung. Hes on a respirator. On a posiive note, the doctors reported he did open his eyes once and wiggled his right fingers.
They plan to transport him to Germany once he stabilizes.
Please take a moment today to pray for those who gave the ultimate sacrifice and those that remain. Any specific prayers for Justin would be appreciated as well.

Tarwoe became Yeagers handler in July 2011, was killed in action during a dismounted patrol in support of combat operations in Helmand provinces Marjah district, April 12.
Prayers for your friend ... and for many, many more!
Thank you! It’s still too early, we are still worried about survivabilty at this point....He has his fingers and appears to have hand movement...they’ve now put him in a medically induced coma as they do further evaluations on his condition, specifically legs....
He’s a great kid, only 23, an athelete, HS football player, great ethics and morals....
We got the news late Monday night...I walked up to my front door and my wife was standing there sobbing.....A major at Ft Bragg had just called his parents and they called us immediately after.....
This is where I get angry, not only have the 2 Soldiers died, but there are more casualties from another road side bomb, probably the source being a road side bomb factory in Iran. As I also said of the French factories helping Saddam Hussein, they should have been eliminated. Our wars must be won on every level.
I am glad this Soldier has a good person as yourself to take interest in his recovery. Thank you!
Thank you all for your love, prayers and support for our wounded and fallen troops. They need all the support they can get as they sure are not supported by our current president.
Obama has changed the rules of engagement in that our soldiers can no longer protect themselves. They are frustrated sitting ducks, not even allowed to protect themselves for fear of being court martialed for not being politically correct. It’s no wonder the suicide rate is so high.
Here is a report that comes out several times per day, providing insights into what is happening: http://themilitarysuicidereport.wordpress.com/author/themilitarysuicidereport/
Read a few of the stories in the archives and you will get the drift.
We are paying a terrible price in blood in Afganistan....
Some of our youngest and brightest, certainly our bravest....
I intended this thread to be support and prayer thread for our troops....
“I intended this thread to be support and prayer thread for our troops....”
I support our troops, rally behind them, and am very frustrated at the way the current administration is not supporting them in battle or in their healing of wounds.
This morning at 10 am is a meeting in Washington by the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee on the current situation involving assessment and treatment of wounded soldiers. I hope they finally open their eyes.
Prayers for those who perished and for those who survived. May God comfort their families, friends and comrades at arms.
The best thing we can do to support our men and women in harm’s way is to boot out the current White House occupant and as many of his cronies as possible, IMHO.
What a tragic waste. Too many of our military people have been sacrificed and for what, trying to save and develop a country still living in the fourth century?
Dear “leader” (Bama) tells them they cannot shoot first and only when fired upon. That is INSANE, we re in a war. Have any of you ever had to face an armed enemy hell bent on killing you?
It is time to replace “Dear leader” and I hope the military votes get counted this time around.
Prayers sent neighbor.
Information is coming late but here’s the latest:
They transported him now to Germany (4:15am) with his entire abdomen cut open and exposed....they need to continually irrigate and evaluate other organs......The next 72 hours are critical...I’ll keep everyone updated.....
He’s a strong “kid” and the prayers help!
The two young men mentioned in the article didn’t survive, what wasn’t mentioned are the survivors, one of which is a dear friend of our family.

Information is now public regarding him at:

You can now put a face and some background with Justin....
Ask that Major about the rest of the Platoon, okay?
We help everyone :)
