A 380 single stack semi auto would be perfect for joggers.
A good firearm for 4 legged varmints like coyotes or two legged varmints as well. It certainly is not a 44 mag for stopping power, but not many people carry a 44 when jogging in the lower 48.

The Ruger LCP.
The LC9 is a little bigger, but probably a better choice, IMHO.
