This is an illegal immigrant jobs bill. The farm work must be done by someone.

Already, in this area, there are no “teen” jobs, they are all taken by illegals.

This bill extends that into food production.

Yet the same federal government and Congress will lament the demise of the family farm and think up new subsidies to protect farming from corporate interests.

This is the craziest thing I have ever heard. I live in south~central Kentucky, where family farms abound. From the time kids are old enough to walk they're helping out on the farms.
Our traditional, American way of life is almost GONE.

Is this something that can be voted down?

Can't allow Americans to exist that can subsist without the nanny government and big ag providing -- or if the peasants get uppity, shutting off -- what the family needs to survive.

I know folks want to reduce this to a matter of the marxist in chief's chitown politics, but it is bigger than that. It is another brick in the police state wall that has been put up around us with nary a peep.

Family farms should use the Left's oft-lauded tactic of "civil disobedience."

Ignore this rule and let the Dept of Labor attempt to enforce it.

Sounds like the kids will need something to do to keep them out of trouble.

How about a state sponsered Youth Program, to teach them Morals and Fortitude (you know because their parents can't), Boys could be in the Deutsches Jungvolk, while the girls' could be Bund Deutscher Mädel.

Sound Good to Me!

Show of hands...how many people think these rules are going to be ignored, and that at some point a County Sheriff is going to become involved; depending on their politics either with or against the farm owner?

I am of the firm belief that County Sheriff’s are one of the last lines of defense against the rampant Federalism that is overtaking our country. Men like Joe Arapio, and countless others, are the ones who will be/are on the front line acting as a defender/trip wire in the coming battle.

Just another step in their plan to cut people off from producing their own food.

If they control the food supply (that is, the ‘means of production’ for food), then very few people can control many.

Get hybrid seeds.
Learn how to start them.
Learn how to plant them.
Learn how to grow them.
Learn how to harvest the seeds to plant the following season.

Aquaponics, baby.

Oh, goody, now rural folks can raise lazy, good for nothing, video game playing little miscreants just like city folk do!
And there will be less competition for the illegal aliens.

Its time for the people to strike back at big snouted pig bureaucrats and their congress critter enablers. In the old days the peasants used pruning hooks and brick bats to communicate with stupid government pigs

I think the abunch of government morons are eager for a civil war.

I started operating my father farm tractor when I was 12 years old

Solis sees America through the eyes of a Communist apparatchik still enamored of Chicom communes and Nazi forced labor camps.

America has no room for her kind. Ship her out. Purge her.

My husband’s first job in high school was recording weights of trucks freshly loaded with hay cubes, for the family agricultural trucking business. That would not be permitted any more, I guess.

This will run the Amish out of the country.

I started driving the tractor to plwo and cultivate at about ten. at 12 I was in the barn hanging tobacco and spearing it. at 14 I was hiring out to other farmers after we had harvested our own crop.

Do kids get hurt? Occasionally.
But they learn good work habits, They gain strength, and they don’t need to go to the gym most important they are with their dad.(God I wish I could be with him doing that again.)
They are much better off than joining a drug gamg in the city.

We had plenty of time to play after the work was done and we got hurt more often on the playing field than on the farm.
