Let's put this to bed. We have bigger fish to fry.

Everyone please send whatever you are able to, whether it is $10, $100 or $1,000+. The DUmmies, Morons, Kos Kiddies and that crew are laughing up their sleeves. Jim may have to make this site members only or allow ads. Better for us to just help with what we can. Maybe you can donate as a memorial for a lost loved one, a servicemember who never made it home or was disabled defending our country. Perhaps you'd like to give to keep free discussion alive and to show them that we're not knuckling under. I'm sure a well thought out or prayerful meditation will lead you to see the need and how you can help. If every registered FReeper and our lurkers would each just help out with a fin or a sawbuck, or better yet a Ben Franklin, we could put this to bed and get on with the conservative cause.

“Where is the public accounting? Where are these supposed new servers we keep hearing about? Do you know that Dell PowerEdge enterprise-class servers (to use one example) are cheap? You can buy rack-type servers for as low as $599, tower-type servers for $399, and blade servers for $1034. Dell’s high-end servers start at $4360. In other words, about $10,000 to $15,000 will buy two top-of-the-line servers. So where are they?”

Well, given that and:
“Hello,

This is to inform you that you are more than forty-five days late on your Olive
Garden restaurant bill. The Olive Garden in Fresno, CA reports you have not
responded to any of their certified letters informing you of your bill for
$341.32, accumulated over your eighteen visits in February 2012.

Please contact us at (559) 323-7297 and pay within the next fourteen days or
we’ll be forced to inform a collection agency.

Thank you for your prompt attention.

When you’re here, you’re family!”

I’m starting to wonder where my money goes.

You don’t know me. You don’t know anything about me. What gave you the impression that I can zot anyone?

I’m trying to zot? That is so ridiculous that I question your ability to think. Those who can zot do not “try,” they simply zot. We who cannot zot, cannot zot, QED.

Conservatism is what it is. You don’t define it either. Although you do not, I know Conservatism when I see it.

So I will ask you again—why are you here if you really feel this way, especially a Class of ‘99er?

I actually go back to 1997, but whatever. And the only thing that's a disgrace is begging for $94,000 a calendar quarter while treating the very people who are ponying up that money like less than dirt.

Your hatred speaks volumes, and your fear of the truth puts a vampire's fear of the sun to shame.

Scripture speaks of that sort of mentality taking root among Christians . . . biting and devouring one another.

It Never turns out well.

No one here has ever argued that our greatest president since Washington was a deity.

But you are trying to use him in negative way to push the man who despised Reagan, who is the anti-Reagan, who wouldn’t even vote for Reagan.

Romney did not vote for President Reagan he would not even register republican and was from a famously liberal republican family, he bragged that his mother ran as a pro-abortion Senate candidate, his father was the anti-war presidential candidate in 1968. Romney eventually started devoting all of his donations and fund raising solely to Democrat candidates, and voted for Tsongas in 1992. Following that time, even after he RE-REGISTERED REPUBLICAN TO ENTER MASSACHUSETTS POLITICS Romney campaigned as the anti-Reagan, the anti-’Jesse Helms types’, against the Contract with America, and was fund raising for Planned Parenthood. Romney was rabidly pro-gay, and antigun.
Romney is a dedicated lifelong, anti-conservative, he and his anti-war, presidential candidate father stormed off the convention floor at the 1964 Republican convention IN PROTEST AGAINST GOLDWATER’S NOMINATION. For years Romney was one of America’s most vocal, passionately pro-abortion politicians, explaining that his entire family had become dedicatedly pro-abortion in 1963.

Changing or massaging an issue or two is totally different than at age 59 in preparation to run in a different election, suddenly reversing ALL of your lifelong political positions, try to imagine any politician pulling off that trick or being in a position to need to do it to run to LEAD his chosen party.

I hear you. I was ready to donate about a week ago and then was attacked as an abortionist, moron, communist, freak, and told FU. All because I said I would vote for the nominee over the communist Obama. I was reported directly to JR and told I was going to be banned, although never by JR and I want to make that clear, but by a couple of Freepers who I think make it their job to stalk and report on people. I agreed with someone who was zotted the next day. My donation finger hasn't pulled the trigger, but I hope it can soon when I don't feel like I'll make a donation only to be gone tomorrow.

Pragmatism is the key. A Conservative without it becomes a footnote. A Conservative with it has books written about them.

FR (and you as its defender) prevented my USE as a conservative poster—because my choice of a presidential candidate was DISapproved.

The owner has simply said that the conservative Free Republic will not be used as a campaign vehicle for a liberal. If you used it as such, you got your $20 worth.

No one doubts your dedication. At least I don’t. And I don’t think you make any money here.

That’s not what we’re upset about. Just read the posts.

How can we enter a presidential campaign against the worst president ever who’s already promised to do even more damage if re-elected, if we can’t support his opponent.

It’s just ridiculous. These pie in the sky battles should have been started long before the primary process. It’s too late now.

Writing in somebody, voting 3rd party, it’s just voting for Obama. I won’t vote for Obama.

Dear DJ MacWow,

And a fine regards to you, also. I am not a "he."

As for being from "another site," there are over 600 billion websites, with the number growing exponentially almost daily. I enjoy numerous sites, some political, some about music, some social networking, etc. Am I to assume from your comment that people who visit FR are only to come to this website and no other?

Oh, and what exactly is an "anti-Freeper?" Seems to me you haters who attack anyone who doesn't comport with your worldview -- and apparently your web view -- are more "anti-Freeper" than anyone else ever thought of being. You're killing this website. But hey, knock yourself out. A body's gotta do what a body's gotta do.

Yours truly,
Wolfie

You said it. Reagan also reached out to Tip O'Neill. He was a pragmatist, when all was said and done.

Not pragmatic enough to get Mitt Romney to vote for him, or to not reject republican registration during Reagan's presidency, in 1989 Romney started fund raising for democrats.

They were -- horrors -- the elites and intellectuals of their day. Their ideas were truly radical for the time.

Very true.

After writing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson decided to rewrite the Bible, portraying Jesus as an Enlightenment figure.

Radical, to say the least.

As much as I HATE to vote for yet another pretend Conservative, I have to face the truth that the primaries were not rigged and Romney WAS the preferred choice of those who have been able to vote so far. Our primary isn't until May 8, and I will vote for Newt - not that it will do him any good but I can only hope that the GOP establishment, that has thrust an uninspiring candidate on us - yet again - just might get the message this time.

I plan to hitch my hopes on all the true Conservatives down ticket plus a few amendment issues, i.e.; Gay Marriage. If, and I DO mean if, Romney is the nominee after all the primaries are done and the "people" have spoken, I will probably have to hold my nose yet again and vote for him. The thought of four more years of the Obamanation is sickening. A strong Conservative House and stronger Senate can keep whatever big ideas Romney may have in check and then we can look to 2016 to drive home the truth that Conservatives are tired of being treated as the red-headed step children of the Republican Party and start VERY early to put one of our own into the highest office. Until then, I do not plan on sending the GOP one red cent! Free Republic, on the other hand, will always get my support.

I don’t know about you but I have actually changed peoples minds about things by debating them on this very site. Many of them in fact. Some of those debates were polite. others less so but either is FAR superior than the constant preaching to the choir that goes on here today IMHO.
