Former Obama adviser: Romney healthcare plan ‘most radical and divisive’ in history

Mitt Romney’s healthcare platform is one of the most regressive proposals in U.S. history, said David Cutler, a prominent healthcare economist and a top adviser to President Obama’s 2008 campaign.
In a harshly worded blog post on the Journal of the American Medical Association website, Cutler criticized what he said is the “negativity” of Romney’s platform.
“Romney’s plan will heal neither divisions nor sick Americans,” Cutler wrote. “Indeed, Romney’s health care ideas are the most radical and divisive of any candidate ever to run for President.”
Romney wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, convert Medicaid into a block grant to the states and partially convert Medicare into a private system. Together, those policies would cause at least 45 million people to lose their coverage, Cutler said.
“Never before in history has a candidate run for President with the idea that too many people have insurance coverage,” he wrote.
Romney’s plans are largely in line with House Republicans’ budget proposal, which also calls for repealing President Obama’s healthcare law and turning Medicaid into a block-grant program. Both would also convert some federal Medicare spending into subsidies for private insurance, while leaving the existing program intact as an option.
Romney met resistance from some conservatives during the Republican primary because the healthcare law he signed as Massachusetts governor is highly similar to Obama’s version. They both rely on a system of subsidized private insurance and both include a mandate requiring individuals to buy coverage.
Despite the similarities, Romney has consistently pledged to repeal the Affordable Care Act, saying the policies that worked in his state shouldn’t have been extrapolated into a national plan.
Romney and Romneycare are socialist pieces of s###.
This country is headed from freedom, representation, due process and individuality, to bureaucrate lead abortion like statistical anonymous carnage, Stalin style.
I don’t care whether ROmney is the better guy or the two, the policies are just as misguided.
TO me, I see one thing and one thing only: we are not buying it, so, because we are not, but Romney wants the sales, he is going to hire liberals to steal our identities (taxes) and make others buy the crappy product with our moneys.
However, the liberal thieves are not going to cooperate with that dirty salesman scheme and let Romney get away with the goodies for free. It’s going to be a carnage. Liberals are crazy, they are manipulators but they will know they will not let Romney manipulate them or get away with it. This money is theirs and Obama’s, not Romney’s, in their eyes, and this “proletaria” is going to tear a new a$$ hole to RINOs.
Mark my words, the writing is on the wall.
Radical = anything that undoes Democratic legislation.
That’s an endorsement of Romney!
At this point in time, I do not think Tparty people need to open their mouthes anymore, because it gives Romney and RINOs an easy finger pointing at us for liberals to chew us, when it is the RINOs of Romney care who want the cash goodies and are trying to play things and us against liberals in the meantime.
We cannot risk anymore paying for those dirtbags RINOs. I am going to vote but in the name of Romney only to deflect the attacks on conservatives.
This is horsesh!t. THey are pulling an antiJew and antiChristian card on us. This is all orchestrated to make conservatives look bad while Romney goes with his hypocrite face to the dollar goodies of his dirty deals, hiding behind liberal skirts to look good.
Traitors, cowards and Vichyist denunciators to name a few is what Romney Establishments are.
After all Mitt said in 2009 that the feds could learn from his plan. I guess they did.
If this guy knows what Romney’s real health car plan is he must be Psychic, because none of us do.
