More than 1,000 men and women of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard are in town to celebrate and educate the community on the talents and duties of our maritime soldiers.

I have never had the burning desire to go under in a submarine, but it is very cool to see it from a safe distance!

Wow, T.O.K., this is terrific! I’ve always admired the submarine service, and this is the next-best-thing to being there! I’m more than a little bit jealous, but thanks for the report. The photos and video are especially great! Good job!!

I had the opportunity to go on a three day Tiger Cruise up the Atlantic Seaboard when my son was on the USS Boise. It was a great experience.

I seem to recall reading a book in which Dallas plays an important role...

A local Miami reporter from one of the tv stations was on the same sub. I didn’t pay much attention to it, since the little weasel just bitched and moaned about not having internet access while on board. My god, I thought, you’re on a once in a lifetime journey....why the hell would you want to be on the ‘net? Journalism is such a hollow shell of intellectual curiousity these days.
