Romney: My Individual Mandate Health Care Plan Is Conservative
Mitt Romney ^ | March 23, 2010 | CNN

Posted on 04/29/2012 2:16:34 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Romney boasts that his anti-liberty government forced compulsory health insurance plan is "conservative." And he says "all of my positions are conservative." That would be forced/mandated compulsory health insurance (google Reagan on compulsory health insurance for the truth), homosexuals in the military, gun control, liberal judges, TARP, bailouts, too big to fail, the government takeover of GM, stimulus spending, global warming, planned parenthood, abortion, Roe v Wade, homosexual marriage, etc, etc, etc, all of which he has supported or still does.

Conservative my foot. I guess lying is conservative too?

Romney is a total fraud!!

It's not the "Newt Thing" it's a let's take down the GOPe thing.

Until conservatives are on board with removing power from the enemy within then we might as we'll prepare for four more years of liberal/socialist policies being shoved down our throats!

Folks gotta let go of this loyalty to politicians who are trying to destroy our American way of life!

Unfortunately, it's attitudes like yours that give us the GOPe.

What attitude would that be? Please elaborate.

Steven Moore of WSJ told Chicago WLS AM radio program this morning that Romney suffers from ‘Rich mans guilt’ feeling that he has to apologize for making money and creating thousands of private sector jobs. Moore criticized Romney for pandering to the left by backing minimum wage laws and other liberal causes in hopes of gaining their votes, all at the expense of conservatives.

That’s an amazing history. It’s great that your family kept such good records!

I can’t claim quite that extensive a military history. A few fought in the civil war for the Union, a few in the revolutionary war. One branch came with the Mayflower, another landed in Virginia in the 1600’s. Somehow they came together in the Midwest and ended up in California in the 1800’s. Mostly farmers with an occasional blacksmith thrown in to keep it interesting. :-)

I dont have a Mayflower ancestor...

But I have a couple of Walloons on the Neiuw Nederlandt to NYC in 1623..

Then a family from Suffolk with Winthrops Fleet in 1630 to MASS..

Then in 1636 I have the children of the guy who arranged the Neiuw Nederlandt trip...they came to NYC from Holland

In 1645 a boatswain (supercargo) from the Prince Maurice a ship belonging to the West Indies company decided he would stay in the New World...

and so on through the 1600s

In 1680 my Huguenot family arrived from France by way of London..

In 1696 more Huguenots came...this time from Bristol..

In 1710 my Palatine Germans arrived and went to the Albany, NY area..

In 1720 my family of indentured servant Catholic Irish arrived at Livingston Manor from Ulster..(Albany, NY)

The American born daughter of my Lutheran Germans married my Catholic Irish hero of Lake George..

All merged into my 2 Loyalist families who fled to Canada....(one from Wyoming County, Pennsylvania, the other from the Mohawk River near Albany, NY Herkimer Co)

The Loyalist families merged in a wedding in Montreal in 1784..

Their grandson left Ontario and went to California and Australia to dig for gold..

and wound up in New Zealand..

For 80 years after my last ancestor died in New York in 1888 we had nobody here...

Then I returned to my roots in 1971...

We always knew that America was the old country...

We had Great Great Granddads Bible with his history...

and a love for the country that gave us the soldiers, sailors and marines who saved us from the Japanese..

One of the first things I did after IMMIGRATING to the US was join the military to serve MY country...

Post #61 - Face it, we're stuck with Mitt as the nominee. The best we can hope for is a conservative congress to keep him in check.

That is crap! Why don't we just decide to take down the GOPe? What are you people scared of?

Look, I'm not saying Romney is not going to be the nominee IF he gets the 1,144 PLEDGED delegates, but what I am saying is we DO NOT have to accept it! We can at least TRY to prevent him from obtaining these delegates! What I'm talking about is taking down the GOPe, until this is done, we will lose! This should be the conservative's fight right now, if we do not realize this life is going to get worse in America.

Bring it right now!

Why do you keep on with this? I'm sorry, but there is no possible way to stop Romney from getting all the delegates he needs and more. There is no "last man standing" to stop him. That ship has sailed. What is it you are not understanding about there being no candidates remaining in the race to stop Mitt? They've all quit. Not only that, they ALL fundamentally disagree with you and will be endorsing and supporting Willard.

What I'm talking about is taking down the GOPe, until this is done, we will lose!

You crowd out the establishment by getting involved in the gears and process of the Republican party, not by shouting and screaming that they aren't doing what you want. Yelling at them from the sidelines just gets you ignored. Become part of the organization and it gets harder for them to do that. This is a long term, bottoms up effort. Stamping your feet, holding on to fantasies, and looking for a fight isn't going to accomplish a thing.

There is no plan, just bluster. Same thing we see every 4 years. Some people just don't want to hear that the real solution isn't all that glamorous and exciting, and won't include conservative mobs storming the convention or any other national drama. It's a bottom up effort. More conservatives simply need to join their local Republican party and exert their influence to pull the party rightward. None of this shouting, boycotting, screaming, etc, will accomplish a thing.

Yes, well, everyone knows typing in CAPS increases ones power exponentially! Not only that, but it's cruise control for cool too.

The GOP is dead. Time for Conservatives to move on to a Conservative party, whether it becomes an official Tea Part or the Constitution Party. Will that new party win this year? Probably not. But you have to start somewhere.

The GOP just Whigged itself out of any chance of salvation.

Drill here, drill now!

So what is the plan? How are we going to take down the GOPe and prevent the nomination?

I'm implementing phase 1 right now by TRYING to convince enough republicans NOT to vote for this RINO/liberal Romney. I'm doing this mostly outside of FR. Either write in someone else, or vote for PAUL, (that will really piss them off!)

Phase Two, if Romney does not get the pledged delegates hammer home Newt or another conservative!

Phrase Three: Go to the convention and cause as much contention as possible by shouting down the process, or use any LEGAL means of disruption. Show the dissatisfaction! Definitely cause a huge fracture in the party.

Conservatives have every right to try to wrest power away from these rino/moderates. We have to realize the country is behind us.

If Romney does succeed in securing the pledged delegates, still refer to phase three and let the GOPe know we do not support this! IOW, if we create a fractured GOP then we will somewhat be on our way to success, BUT if conservatives sit back and DO NOTHING, give in and not raise total Cain then insanity has set in...You do know the definition of insanity, right?

You would think the GOP would have learned by now after putting up LOSER McCain. Romney has a worse record than even McCain. What concerns me most is Romney winning the election and foisting his liberal rino agenda and a republican congress going along with it! Also, Romneycare is implemented, if the SC strikes down Obamacare, guess what gets put in it's place!!! "MANDATORY" Do you like this word because that's exactly what you are going to get with Romney. ROMNEYCARE!

He’s not a conservative in an American world view where we live in a constitutional Republic and fight to keep the fascists and marxists from taking it over. Mittens exists in a citizen of the world view, where the limo-liberals fight amongst themselves on whether Hitler or Stalin had it right as they dream of ruling over and social engineering the globes’s enviornment and slaves to their liking.

I totally agree and understand... and many, if not most, people don't understand the difference (both in the USA and out). And, WE don't want that FOR the USA... We want the original intent of what our founding fathers laid down as the base for our Republic.

Prayers for us all.
