Romney: My Individual Mandate Health Care Plan Is Conservative
Mitt Romney ^ | March 23, 2010 | CNN

Posted on 04/29/2012 2:16:34 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

Romney boasts that his anti-liberty government forced compulsory health insurance plan is "conservative." And he says "all of my positions are conservative." That would be forced/mandated compulsory health insurance (google Reagan on compulsory health insurance for the truth), homosexuals in the military, gun control, liberal judges, TARP, bailouts, too big to fail, the government takeover of GM, stimulus spending, global warming, planned parenthood, abortion, Roe v Wade, homosexual marriage, etc, etc, etc, all of which he has supported or still does.

Conservative my foot. I guess lying is conservative too?

Romney is a total fraud!!

Why do you keep on with this?

Why do you keep supporting rinos?

You and your thinking is a definite problem as to why this INSANITY of a GOPe persist. YOU ARE WRONG, this has been happening for years on end and until conservatives say enough is enough the insanity will continue.

Disrupt, raise total hell, fracture as much as possible, interfere with the process, sorry you don't like it but this is what I'm advocating at this point in time. Your way of, "getting involved in the gears and process of the Republican party" has failed time and time again to wrest control of the moderate/rinos.

Either President Obama is going to take four more years and destroy America sooner, or Romney becomes President and foists Romneycare on us...with those choices I choose to cause as much pandemonium as possible!

If the delegates are not pledged Romney has not won Shinola, so get off of it!

“I think the old standby definitions of who votes for which party have been blown away in this campaign. I think people recognize that I’m not a partisan Republican—that I’m someone who is moderate, and that my views are progressive.”
-Mitt Romney (2002)

All I need to know is he created Romneycare, stands behind it, and now thinks it’s conservative!

There’s nothing in either point one or two that will prevent the nomination.

Point three is to protest, which will not prevent the nomination.

So, basically, I was correct. Mitt will get the delegates he needs and will be nominated at the convention. We can yell and scream and threaten not to vote for him, but it won’t affect the outcome at the convention.

Why do you keep supporting rinos?

I asked you "why you keep on with this" in regards to your continued incessant babbling about Newt. Newt is done. He's out. He's finished. He will be endorsing Romney this week. Let the Newt thing go. You sound silly agitating for a candidate who has already quit.

Disrupt, raise total hell, fracture as much as possible, interfere with the process,

/yawn

All words, all bluster, all keyboard commando threats. The most you are going to do is rage on the internet among like minded people.

with those choices I choose to cause as much pandemonium as possible!

LOL. Yes, your pandemonium is really scaring the establishment.

Getting involved in the party is exactly what movement conservatives and Tea Party folks ARE doing right now to push the GOP to the right - and it IS working extremely well already on a local and state level. It will ultimately work higher up the food chain too. You are just impatient and sulking, and I'm telling you that you won't accomplish anything with your big talk about raising hell.

Great, you've won the argument, but lost the war! Then don't follow me. Keep living in your INSANE rino republican world and never do anything but go along always exclaiming there's NOTHING we can do!

Besides, this is about battling the power of the GOPe.

I'm all for this, but you see, here's YOUR problem, rinos as far as the eye can see, local and state does not effect shinola right now! I've been hearing this CRAPOLLA election after election and it's insanity. Stay insane and keep on dreaming the GOP will change in your lifetime, eventually it will about 100 years after we are dead and buried all while our children and Gchildren live under semi-socialist regimes!

I'm telling you if conservatives show up at the convention and cause enough contention things will change faster with a FRACTURED party!

Oh, btw what happened 4 years ago when your same argument was forwarded...I tell you what happened...Romney! Much worse a rino than McCain!!! He's a fulfledged liberal with a socialist program already in place to boot! Your theory really worked out well for us!

Yeah, keep up the vapid insanity, in maybe the year 2112 you'll be hearing:

Attention all planets of the solar federation - WE HAVE ASSUMED CONTROL...

“So what is the plan? How are we going to take down the GOPe and prevent the nomination?”

At some point patriots will stop hiring dragon keepers and put their revolutionary pants on and commit to being self employed dragon slayers.

Laugh at the OWSers, they’re fools, but at least they’re willing to be foolish. Look in distaste at ACORN, but they were boots on the ground while the conservative majority were so many Laz-Y-Boy pundits each more righter than the next, we bit each other’s tails while they organized.

We have been programmed to be submissive and trust in elected “strong men” to do the dirty work for us...”pleeze Daddy make the bad men go ‘way”. The opposition has been programmed to be offensive, in your face, in the public square, in the media, bolding tearimg the Constitution to shreds right on our lawn and communicating “WTF are you going to do about it?”...and we peep from behind our windowshades and compose a strongly worded blog.

I’m looking right in the mirror as I say this. I was a boy during the protests of the 60’s-70’s but I remember the times, how they seized the moment and changed the country, all the while manipulated by forces of which they were ignorant. I saw and I knew this socialist movement was a new assault on our country based on the foundations of the old, and I wallowed in my many distractions and enjoyments while they took our America away, cut her throat and put her in the cement right next to Jimmy Hoffa...there isn’t even a body left so we can tell our kids “this is the America I knew, this is what they did to her” and give the noble experiment a decent burial. No, our kids will grow up in a socialist Lubyanka with indoctrination for education and lying self-serving political aristocrats for their role models, and That Is Their America.

Makes me think how even in the old movies the patriot was steteotyped as an old fashioned, ill informed curmudgeon railing against “those damn Reds”. How clear is hindsight.

In my short time at FR it seems I’ve “gotten religion”. I confess my sins against this country, I am willing to be a fool for this country, and for the Christians, remind that the foolishness of God overwhelms the wisdom of men.

In short, Revolution. Millions of people looking in the office windows of the latest liberal stooges wih eyes like a Sicilian widow’s curse. The jails full, the ER’s jammed with injured protesters, who beg to be patched up so they can return to the streets. Highway roadblocks set up to prevent more conservative protesters coming, results in them leaving their cars where they sit and proceeding on foot. Gandhi, with a shillelagh and a pocket Constitution. Police and National Guard finally refusing to beat down, joining. A fantasy ridiculous to our “finer sensibilities”, but one of glorious historical precedent.

This kind of committment is just too low-brow and inconvenient for many of us, but it is meat and potatoes for the left. And I remind, they have won. The public eye, the national sympathy, the media monopoly, and the reins of power, using inferior numbers, inferior arguments, and inferior morals, and won by commitment to their evil ideas and pure force of will.

In other words, we possessed the advantage but lacked the willpower to protect our inheritance...and now the issue is no longer how to protect it, because it is lost. The issue is, do we have the individual and national will to take it back, re-insitute a constitutonal government even of that means pouring a new foundation on top of scorched earth.

One picture I want to put in your mind; it’s a true story...in Tampa, Florida, in the 80’s, I was driving through a downtown business area, when traffic came to a standstill. That was unusual, unless there had been an accident or something. As it crept forward, I saw what appeared to be a beautiful nude woman, holding a sign...but as I eventually was allowed to creep closer, I saw that it was an attractive woman in a tight flesh-colored bodysuit, and the sign she held, said “I’D RATHER GO NUDE THAN WEAR FUR”. The look on her face did not indicate she was having a good time. It was determined, like despite the catcalls she had a job to do, and she wad going to do it until they hauled her away. Which they did.

I was “anti” her politics, but I could not help but give credence to her individual committment and willpower. She was willing to be a fool and make a futile gesture, and that lone futile gesture stopped traffic and made an indelible image on everyone who saw it.

One futile gesture can stop traffic. One futile gesture in every town and city, is war drums. One thousand such fools in every city and no one will longer care what either the GOP or the DNC are doing. The strong man, will be us. (Which is exactly what the fathers’ intended.)

I remember a preacher once saying that the Enemy is a rip-off artist...there isn’t one sin or evil scheme that doesn’t have a blessing from God at it’s center...but it’s always a blessing that’s been twisted. My thought is, there isn’t a weapon that our enemy uses against us, that we can’t take back, untwist, and use it against him even more powerfully and intelligently than he could ever dream of. Why aren’t there patriotic Twitter mob protests, conservative community organizers, why aren’t we flooding liberal churches and centers of black racist theology, joining face to face in worship and debate, why aren’t second amendment defenders marching nude with long arms on their shoulders, behind banners that say “I’D FEEL NAKED WITHOUT MY CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS”. It wouldn’t matter if they cured cancer that day, on The Day The Naked Gun Rights People Marched, the cure for cancer would be page 2 on the news, THAT day.

These are the things we are not willing to do. I hope, for the sake of the country we all knew...and will never see again...that we find the will to take our inheritance and power back from the people who have stolen it, and reboot that document that our formers and betters sanctified with blood, sweat, tears, their lives and their worldly possessions.

The only way to genuinely begin a new America, is the way she was begun before.

“Prudence, indeed, will dictate that governments long established, should not be changed for light and transient causes; and, accordingly, all experience [has] shown that mankind are more disposed to suffer while evils are sufferable than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But, when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same object, evinces a design to reduce [the people] under absolute despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such government, and to provide new guards for their future security.” —Thomas Jefferson: Declaration of Independence, 1776. ME 1:29, Papers 1:429

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of a day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers, too plainly prove a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing [a people] to slavery.” —Thomas Jefferson: Rights of British America, 1774. (*) ME 1:193, Papers 1:125

“When patience has begotten false estimates of its motives, when wrongs are pressed because it is believed they will be borne, resistance becomes morality.” —Thomas Jefferson to M. deStael, 1807. ME 11:282 “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.” —Thomas Jefferson: his motto.

“If ever there was a holy war, it was that which saved our liberties and gave us independence.” —Thomas Jefferson to John Wayles Eppes, 1813. ME 13:430

“The oppressed should rebel, and they will continue to rebel and raise disturbance until their civil rights are fully restored to them and all partial distinctions, exclusions and incapacitations are removed.” —Thomas Jefferson: Notes on Religion, 1776. Papers 1:548

“As revolutionary instruments (when nothing but revolution will cure the evils of the State) [secret societies] are necessary and indispensable, and the right to use them is inalienable by the people.” —Thomas Jefferson to William Duane, 1803. FE 8:256

P.S. : I did not hunt and choose these quotes. I went to a famous quotes site, entered “Thomas+Jefferson, Rebel” and copied and pasted exactly this.

P.P.S. : I have found that certain folks who have their heart set on voting for a lib in rino clothing out of expediency, have actually mocked these quotations when they are presented to them...if there’s a better litmus test as to whether those individuals are conservatives making a conservative choice, I don’t know what it is.

I accept facts, not dreams or wishes. Some things just are.

If Mitt gets the nomination, then that is the card we've been dealt and we move on from there. At that point I'll decide what I'm going to do.

The last man who could have opposed him has dropped out. He's now virtually unopposed to the nomination, unless he gets hit by a bus or he's caught in a hotel room with six Amish girls.

Before I go on, I want you to realize I am not trying to push some cockamamie idea here. I understand what you are saying, but that doesn't mean we have to be loyal to this nomination. The more strife we cause the more the GOPe has to deal with it. They want to foist a loser on us, and force us to support a rino. Well, that's exactly what we do NOT have to accept!

Why do you label anyone who advocates beating Obama, by whatEVER means, is a “Romney lover”? You people have really gone off the rails. And I’m not sure what the quotes around my name are for. I use my real name, “Student0165”.

Thanks for the *ping*. I’m hoping and praying Romney will surprise everyone and show he’s a real anti-Obama. I also hope he chooses my guy, Haley Barbour as VP and listens closely to his advice. Fingers crossed.

I don’t use my real name in order to preserve myself from wacko crackpots such as yourself.
