Wave after wave of young men surged forward to take turns punching and kicking their victim.
The victim's friend, a young woman, tried to pull him back into his car. Attackers came after her, pulling her hair, punching her head and causing a bloody scratch to the surface of her eye. She called 911. A recording told her all lines were busy. She called again. Busy. On her third try, she got through and, hysterical, could scream only their location.

It happened four blocks from where they work, here at The Virginian-Pilot.
Two weeks have passed since reporters Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami - friends to me and many others at the newspaper - were attacked on a Saturday night as they drove home from a show at the Attucks Theatre. They had stopped at a red light, in a crowd of at least 100 young people walking on the sidewalk. Rostami locked her car door. Someone threw a rock at her window. Forster got out to confront the rock-thrower, and that's when the beating began.
If there are any black parents reading this, tell your kids not to attack white people. Some of us are armed.
If the ratio is always going to be that extreme, I need to carry a few more backup magazines.

If this would have been 30+ whites on a black couple the leftys would have been crawling out of the woodwork to scream “RACISM!!”

First off, keep in mind that your jury pool would be predominantly composed of "they". Second off, at 100-to-1 odds, you had better be driving this.
Sad that this happened but if you are stupid enough to leave your weapon (the car)to confront a 100 people and you were not intelligent enough to own and legally carry a firearm then shame on you...........
Norfolk Virginia. Demographics: 47.1% White, 43.1% African American, about 6% Latino. Mayor is a Democrat, and has been mayor there since 1994. Tells me all I need to know.
That's OK, officer. Just go back to Dunkin' Donuts and finish your coffee. Just a few high spirited youts having some fun. It was an unprovoked attack and somebody could be in a coma or dead.
But no big deal. Probably couldn't find the parents anyway, and in any case they would do nothing. Nothing here to see. Just move on...
And therefore prior to this incident would have been positively OUTRAGED at the suggestion that they should never be in an area where white folks would be a minority after dark. Perhaps they are dumb enough to still hold this viewpoint. It's unlikely that a left-wing rag like that would have hired people known to be NRA members.

He should have floored it and got the hell out of there. He shouldn't have been there in the first place.
There are a few areas of Norfolk into which I don't venture. This is one, and Park Place is another, along with the area known as the “Texas” streets.
Discretion is the better part of valor.

I’d love to hear the excuses they were making for their attackers after they got out of the hospital.
There’s probably a “threshold” after which it would just be best to stay out of the area/City...

From what I’ve read the two were liberals. He was probably going to get out of the car and talk to them and tell them he understands their pain but he’s one of their supporters so they shouldn’t throw rocks at his car. And he still can’t understand why he got the snot beat out of him.
The same thing will happen when some muslim has a sword at the throat of a liberal and the liberal will say “But I was against the war on terror. I believe..........ouch!”
Blame the both political parties support of Diversity, Illegal Immi and Affirmative Action...you have no friends in DC or your local Statehouse!
