Total overturn of Obamacare would be a complete vindication of the rule of law and a complete disaster for President Obama (as well as for Long's chief rival, Kirsten Gillibrand, New York's junior United States Senator, an enthusiastic Obamacare supporter who should have known better than to vote for it).
On April 2, 2012, SILive's Tom Wrobleski reported that a United States Supreme Court decision on the constitutionality of Obamacare is expected soon and "[t]he justices could uphold or overturn the entire law,...strike down the individual mandate only, or strike the mandate along with other provisions" (www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2012/04/us_senate_candidate_wendy_long.html).
That's all true, but not news.
Wrobleski further reported that United States Senate candidate Wendy Long said while campaigning in Staten Island on April 27 that Obamacare is unconstitutional and she hopes it will be declared unconstitutional by the United States Supreme Court.
That's all true, but not news, too.
BUT...Wrobleski quoted Long as saying, "If I were betting, I'd bet on a total overturn."
THAT is huge news.
Long is conservative and highly qualified to predict. She's not one to let her personal views distort her perception of reality or to make baseless predictions or to bet recklessly. snip
Unlike Gillibrand, Long is a constitutional scholar intimately familiar with the workings of the United States Supreme Court and a former United States Supreme Court clerk (to Justice Clarence Thomas).
Additionally, unlike Gillibrand, Long served for years as general counsel to the Judicial Confirmation Network (now the Judicial Crisis Network) and skillfully promoted the confirmations of Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.

The author of this article calls her a CONSTITUTIONAL SCHOLAR.
She will be running in the primary against George Maragos and Bob Turner, also fine candidates, but Wendy Long has the best credentials, imo, is a pro-life activist, and has been endorsed by the NY Conservative Party.
If that happens you can expect President Romney to propose a national RomneyCare.
The good news is that neither a President Romney, nor a President Obama, would be able to propose such a plan, if there is a total overturn.
If that happens you can expect President Romney to propose a national RomneyCare.
BS
Bingo.
First things first people. Gotta win the Presidency or we’re finished. (Senate would be a cherry on top.)
Romney was a d+psh*t Governoer that got “rolled” by Teddy K.
CLUELESS.
Both the presidential race, and the Senate race will be decided on Election Day 2012, so we must walk and chew gum at the same time:

Whatever happens, we will not have a conservative POTUS, which is why it’s so important to get as many CONSERVATIVES in the House and U.S. Senate as possible.
Romney suggested it to Obama in a USA TODAY column after his election, so I think he favors it.
She’s cute. Chicks named Wendy tend to be cute.

I don’t doubt that at all. Thanks for the info.
I no longer put nothing past any politician.
Not only is Wendy Long very cute, I think she will be a fighter of all the good CONSERVATIVE causes, if elected, juding by her history of defending the unborn as a lawyer, strongly opposing the ratification of lefty Sonia Sotomayor, etc..
I think she’s better looking than Kirsten Gillibrand, but as a man, what do YOU think? :)
Her only chance is to WIN that Republican primary. Long can not win running on the Conservative line ONLY.
If Rep. Turner wins the primary, then in a three way race
Gillibrand-Turner-Long, Gillibrand wins easy. There might be a way to give the Conservative line to Turner, but I am not sure. But the bottom line is this: a Republican/Conservative split in November means six more years of Kirsten.
“But the bottom line is this: a Republican/Conservative split in November means six more years of Kirsten.”
Personally, since all three are good, I’d fight like heck for any one of them, and maybe there are many like me. Yes, you are correct, the NY Conservative Party should back the GOP winner, especially since they are all conservatives.
Right now, though, we can expose Kirsten Gillibrand by writing editor’s letters, calling NYS talk shows, etc.. Let’s get started.
Gillibrand pretended to be a blue dog Dem, while congresswoman in a rather conservative district, pretended to be for our 2nd amendment rights, said she had a rifle under her bed, etc., and when she became a U.S. senator, Schumer publicly told her she would “evolve” (on gun control), and like a puppet, she listened to Schumer.
Schumer said on Fox News that when whe was a congresswoman, she had to act more conservative, because the voters in that district were like Montana. lol
Now, Gillibrand is lying with the Dems on the so-called war on women because the Republicans don’t want religions to violate their consciences by including abortion-inducing drugs and contraceptives with their insurance.
I’d like to know if the majority of voters from that district voted for her in the U.S. Senate race, even after they were misled.
Wendy Long is on Hannity’s radio show now.
She has been nominated, and endorsed, by the NYS Conservative Party.
Sean is registered with the NYS Conservative Party, which has a good history, including getting James Buckley to become a U.S. Senator, as a 3rd party candidate.
