Private pilots who may want to fly near Chicago on the weekend of May 19-20 have been warned they could be shot down, and a Red Cross memo suggests there could be mass evacuations of the city in the event of riots by left-leaning activists protesting the NATO summit.
Less than a days drive away, however, near Jefferson City, Mo., at the same time there will be an event for Americans who also are worried about the nation. But instead of protests and riots, participants will focus on how to build up America, repair it and stabilize it for future generations.
The Rally for Common Sense will be held Saturday, May 19, at the Patriot Field of Dreams at Holts Summit. It will be more of a Woodstock as its on private property in the rolling hills of Missouri, where there will be camping, a nondenominational church service and vendors along with the rally.

"Earlybird" ticket price ends Saturday May 3!
Come and join us and celebrate America!
I follow conservative news sites and get emails from tea party groups. This event is news to me.
So, take a field near the garbage dump and make it into a detention center and as these characters make the first anti-American statement, break the first windshield, block the first street, immediately arrest the entire crowd charging them with disorderly conduct and whatever charges are appropriate. The first plaintiff's attorney who comes with threats, put him/her in the stockade with them, ditto other organizations such as the ACLU.
Get all the legal work done ahead of time and arrange for additional support from other PDs and the National Guard.
Get it right this time.
The event organizers (me included) are rank amateurs and we're learning marketing as we go along. Please help spread the word!
Me too.
I might have made plans to go if I had known.
Today is May 3rd; Saturday is May 5th.
