As we mark the anniversary of Osama bin Laden's death, President Obama deserves credit for making the right choice on taking out Public Enemy No. 1.

But his administration never would have had the opportunity to do the right thing had it not been for some extraordinary work during the George W. Bush administration. Much of that work has been denigrated by Obama as unproductive and contrary to American principles.

The exchange between Mr. Rodriguez and Stahl on 60 minutes is hilarious. You've got to listen to it if you haven't heard it. Stahl was concerned about KSM being fed Ensure, a liquid food drink that is often given to cancer patients who have a hard time eating solid food...

Stahl: "So what happens, does he break down? Does he weep? Does he fall apart?" [while discussing the waterboarding of KSM]

Rodriguez: "No, he gets a good nights sleep. He gets his Ensure, by the way he was very heavy and when he came to us he lost 50 pounds."

Stahl: "What, his Ensure? You mean like people in the hospital who will eat that stuff?"

Rodriguez: "Yes. Dietary manipulation is was part of these dark techniques."

Stahl: "So sleep deprivation, dietary manipulation. I mean, this is Orwellian stuff. The United State doesn't do that."

Rodriguez: "Well we do."

Pelosi, She almost coined the phrase “The Bush Wars” She like most democrats are liberals first, hating and destroying conservatives is sex to them. They are not Americans, they are liberals.
You have never heard the phrase “The Roosevelt Wars” or that Democrats and Roosevelt imprisoned Americans because of their ancestry, or that Roosevelt screwed the whole Country with His ponzie scheme, just for votes. You just can not treat democrats as regular people, they are liberal's first, not Americans

My theory is, Bin Laden was being held by the Pakistanis (with or without our direct knowledge, plausible deniability). How else does one explain his “hiding” in a Pakistani military stronghold. Videos of Bin Laden in his hideout, show him sitting in the middle of a bare room watching videos (wouldn’t have been allowed a direct TV feed). How else does one explain the total lack of any kind of defence for such an exalted leader.

How he “escaped” from Torabora would make an excellent read. Disposal of the body at sea was a nice touch (cultural considerations my A$$) Hopefully his overplaying his role in this thing will come around and bite him on his A$$.

Agree yet there is something to be said for “in plain sight” security. Such that comes to mind was the cullinan diamond shipment aka the star of africa to england long ago.

Lots of armed visible security for a glass copy etc yet the real one was sent parcel post.

Many VIP’s have traveled coach with minimal low profile security. Many famous criminals, wanted felons, have lived a day to day existence in the light of day for decades.

I think the overt for covert purposes immunizations / vaccine program that was in the border regions was key to locating the area he was in .

http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/cia-defends-running-vaccine-program-to-find-bin-laden/2011/07/13/gIQAbLcFDI_story.html

...it’s the silly crap that gets em caught, so good security is as simple and fool proof as possible IMHO.

OBL’s was fair yet as with all things subject to human intervention / interaction ... was fallible . Weak point again only IMO was his need to keep friends and family close .

Just my opinion.... Stay safe !
