The Labor Force Participation Rate shows what percentage of people are working, looking for a job and not looking for a job. It is a better yardstick to measure the workforce in America than is the usually cited "unemployment rate" which doesn't count people who are so frustrated they stopped looking for a job.

It took generations to carve the Bamiyan Buddhas and days for the Taliban to destroy them. Building is always much slower than destruction. It's a shame that any Afghan people ever supported the Taliban, just as it's a shame that any living Americans joined the dead and the fictional voters in supporting Obama. I hope and pray that the next generation will have the opportunity to spend a few decades undoing Obama's damage. It's a shame we chose such an expensive lesson to learn. If we're lucky, we we paying enough attention that we won't need a second four year lesson at that high a price.
