A woman who is eight-months pregnant with her sixteenth child is claiming police brutality after she says Tampa officers used a stun gun on her.

Tampa police arrested Angel Adams, 39, this week and charged her with battery on a law enforcement officer after a scuffle when police came to her home to talk to one of her sons. She says the stun gun endangered her life -- and the life of her unborn child.

Adams, 39, first made headlines two years ago when she was evicted from her apartment, then moved into a small motel room with 12 of her 15 children. Her story angered many when she angrily demanded, "Somebody needs to pay for all of this."

Until we tax-payers stand up and say ‘enough’, we can expect more and more of this, and worse. So far, being an optimst, I think there might be as high as 2% of the US population that sees this as a problem.

“A woman who is eight-months pregnant with her sixteenth child ... ‘Somebody needs to pay for all of this.’”

Yet, I’ve heard vicious comments made about the Duggers, none of whom accept government entitlements. Yet 16 children, at age 39 and she demands “somebody needs to pay?”

Let this go viral so taxpayers know where their hard earned money is going.

Sterilization or IUD should be a condition of accepting welfare.

"Something tells me the beatdowns of old were worse. If anything about the taser, maybe its seeming harmlessness makes it easier to countenance bringing it out than bringing out the head bopping batons."

No. During the '70s and before, police agencies preferred men with previous combat training--men who wouldn't become hysterical and overdo it. They were also more often in better shape and had wives and kids much more often than police today. With drunks and the like, police of several decades past more often worked like most bouncers did, simply grappling with the unruly to haul them in (half Nelson, armlocks and the like). The whack to the head was most often reserved for use by small cops against gigantic, terrible, Medieval monsters (drunken neighborhood muscle bullies), against others with non-firearm weapons, against disobedient prisoners in penitentiaries and the like.

They really don't make like they used to. But you know, people get the government that they deserve. Hundreds of thousands of newly fallen middle class folks (laid off government income recipients and service business folks depending on them for revenues) are in for a shock soon. They'll become those that they've learned to hate. The bond collapse is coming, and there's no way to hide.

"I told officers, 'Don't come in my house. You don't have a search warrant," she said.

Just out of curiosity, did they need a search warrant?

Angel Yulee Adams looks away from Judge Tracy Sheehan Monday as officials tell of the home, furnishings and relief given to her in Tampa. She complains about the agencies.

WHat kind of wimpy police forces do we have where 7 year old boys and pregnant women who act up in school get tazed?

The cop carrying the taser was tazed. He has probably either tazed another cop or caught one of his cop brothers when they were being tazed. They all joke about the experience. Apparantly by the time, you are carrying a taser on the street, you get pretty desensitized about the whole affair.

Security where I work just got tasers, they laughed for weeks about the experience of being tazed.

desensitized is right, I think the goal was for it to have the opposite effect
