Rep. Wasserman Schultz says she 'earned Cadillac' healthcare coverage

When asked if average Americans should receive the same quality health insurance as that of their elected officials, Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz told a group of South Florida healthcare workers that she “earned” her benefits, implying that her constituents had not.

“Yes, she really said that,” related Dr. Norman Palgon, a Hallandale Beach-based internist who was in attendance at a forum the Congresswoman conducted last year to garner support for ObamaCare. The good doctor was non-too-pleased with what he clearly felt was the congresswoman’s imperious attitude.

Wasserman Schultz, 45, who also is Chair of the Democratic National Committee, is a career politician who has never worked a day in the private sector. She has become a ubiquitous congressional proponent for ObamaCare, appearing on network television news shows extolling the President’s healthcare plan, in addition to serving as chief cheerleader for Obama’s re-election.

Earned? (Libs use 'this' word?) Guess it depends on the meaning of 'earned'; no?

Don't know; but Debbie, running her 'Motor Mouth' on Empty; IS an accomplishment - of sorts.

That bimbo Wasserman-Schultz reminds me of a cocker spaniel every time I see her.

The only problem with that though is the Cocker Spaniel is much smarter.

What an egotistical A-Hole she is.

Change "Jones" to "Obama" and it sounds remarkably like the RomneyBots' argument for voting for their boy...

Personally; was desperate for Newt to valued/apprciated. . .and supported. He was not. Last Repub standting is MItt. Hurts but if you imagine the 'embedded evil' that Obama has sown in 'his name' for every minute he has been in public view and in 'high office; can match that of Romeny; then 'your choice'; of course!

How about, we rephrase/substitute, any dictator with 'Jones' or just the entire National Socialist Party' of Gernmany; wishing against a Repub RINO; and then take a 'collective temperature for a 'reality check up'.

This is not quite 'devil versus deep blue sea'. Last I checked; we can at least, swim in the sea. . .

All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others.

Serfs should take the pain pill and just die already, like Barack said.

Strange.

According to the Wasserman-Schultzes and Elizabeth Warrens of the world, the successful in the private economy have not truly earned what they have, because it was all earned through the use of common goods which have been paid for by all of us. Their wealth should therefore be redistributed in the name of "fairness." Nevermind that most of the taxes that pay for those common goods are paid for by the successful and that everybody has the same opportunity to use those common goods

However, the special benefits of the governing class, that are actually paid for by taxpayer directly, have been earned.

Demand that all members of the politburo, elected and appointed, be shackled under the same system they impose on the rest of the nation.

That will keep them “honest” or at least miserable.

Yes, I do think it normal for a teenager to have a socialist viewpoint. Churchill’s quote comes to mind. Teenagers have a naive view of the world. Save the whales. Save the cute furry animals. Why can’t we help all the poor people? Love and peace for everyone! Teens want to rebel but have no idea how to make the world work. Most conservatives (at least most of the prominent ones I’ve seen online) started out fairly liberal in their youth. But then they, ... grew up. They matured and realized they don’t have all the answers nor even know the questions. They learned to take responsibility for their own lives and others’ lives.

Leftists never learned those lessons. They have been coddled and allow to slide through life without putting the hard work to achieve real goals that matter. This is why a lot of Hollyweird actors are leftist: they made millions on the looks, or play acting, or playing as themselves. This is why Obama and his administration are leftist: they slide by on skin color or gender or ethnicity or lying. They never had to face consequences of bad decisions or prove competency.

In 2010, she had her first opponent.

Karen Harrington got 25k votes to her 40k. Not a bad start for purple gerry-mandered Broward county.

I plan on volunteering in Karen’s office before the next election.

That's a damning indictment of the way "we" raise teenagers, IMO. Seems to me a teenager is more than smart enough to realize that robbing Peter to pay Paul to do nothing is a bad idea ... the Churchill quote has always seemed bizarre to me. I and my high-school friends were always at odds with our leftist history and "social studies" teachers.

Well, you *are* raising teenagers to be responsible adults. Most people do, but we have a large slice of the population who are not. Think of the Paris Hiltons who never learned responsibility until a judge finally threw her jail (after the 24th offense). Or the actor Will Smith who gets paid $20M per movie for basically being himself. $20M for just being there.

It seems to me the stories of conservatives are similar. Many were naive when young and then they matured.

Change “Jones” to “Bush” and this is precisely what we have today. Romney may have his faults, but he is gracious and does not engage in erecting strawmen and hobgoblins.
