Let's pray that his is a bellweather indicating rejection of Western decadence by a majority of Americans.

“marriage between one man and one woman is the only domestic legal union that shall be valid or recognized in this by the state.”

Anything else is decadence.

"it could also apply to the more than 150,000 straight couples in the state who live together but are unmarried."

Tough you-know-what! Get married or don't live together.

That's just more of Western decadence!

Arizona failed to pass one in 2006, then passed it by 57% if I recall in 08. It looks like it is going to be in the low-mid 60% ranges for NC, which is a good sign, in my opinion. Not as high probably as it would have been in the middle of the last decade when most of them passed, but still really decent. It would be awesome if goes to 65%+!

Sorry.

I don't see that it is any business of government's as to how to define marriage.

Y'all sure don't like it when government thinks is has a right to tell private business what to do!

Sex education is the camel’s nose under the tent. We need to destroy the DOE and burn all curricula designed by Billy Ayers types who wanted to “smash monogamy”. Sex Ed was developed by Cultural Marxists to intentionally destroy Virtue and morality—all Christian Ethics in young children and to normalize the unnatural. They had to get the kids in schools-—Dewey was a Fabian Socialist and it all started in the 30’s—to get the minds of children. It took a while for the traditional Christian teachers to die off before the 60’s generation came to fruition.

They do this to destroy Common Sense and logic. It works and creates useful idiots.....people who can not think and process Truth-—they just go by emotions and urges and the direction of their masters.

It's funny the arguments the sodomites are using. One of the major (false) points they're attempting to make is that the amendment would remove protection from domestic violence by unmarried partners.

Are they trying to tell us something about their deviant relationships?

The forlorn world would once again rejoice in all-triumphant splendor if the base cloud of decadence should no longer ride with ugly rack on its celestial face.

Umm.... the government didn’t define anything.... the electorate did! This is an effort by the citizens to PREVENT the government through activist judges to re-define what the rightful inhabitants want!!

I know the concept of self-rule is hard to understand when things don’t go your way.... This was not the government doing anything ... this was your worst nightmare.... people voicing their opinion through the ballot box!

I don't see that it is any business of government's as to how to define marriage.

you, of course are kidding.....there are many governmental situations where a marriage is certainly part of their benefits, responsibilities, etc. If I die, the government recognizes that my wife is in charge of me, my funeral, my assets...everything. If I just have a "good friend" such recognition would not be true. If I ddon't pay my property tax, do you think that the state will seek out my wife for payment ???...they will. Would they seek out my "good friend" ?..I don't think so

This is the problem with democracy.

That's why the founders gave us a republic.

And a constitution.

First of all, that doesn't make it right.

Second of all, it's a mistake.

Sex education should be a private venture. Everyone has different religions, moral, standards and beleifs and it is disrespectful for the elitists to try and brainwash everyone with their chosen beleifs about sex. It’s not keeping kids from engaging in pre-martial sex nor from getting pregnant.

In addition, the current porn sex aka comprehensive sex ed -has teachers breaking taboos against interacting with the children in a adult sexual way. When adults talk dirty to kids it is called sexual grooming. They need to mind their own business and remove themselves from children’s natural sexual development.
