Despite Boycott, Limbaugh Thrives as CNN and WaPo Collapse
Big Journalism ^ | 5-9-2012 | John Nolte

Over at the left-wing Politico, the headline is "Limbaugh Boycott Cost 'Millions." But once you actually click on the story, you get the real story:
------
"It hit us pretty hard," Dickey said during a call with financial analysts yesterday. "A couple of million bucks in the first quarter and a couple of million bucks in quarter two."

Dickey would not give exact figures, but said the "millions" accounted for "about one percent" of the roughly $245 million in first quarter revenues, and said he expected revenue to return to normal in June.

Cumulus owns just 38 of the 600 stations that air the Rush Limbaugh Show, which is nationally syndicated by Cumulus's competitor, Clear Channel Media. For its part, Clear Channel saw total revenues increase 6 percent the first quarter of 2011 to $671.5 million in the first quarter of 2012, according to MediaPost.
------
You have to wonder how much this failed boycott cost the suckers who contribute money to the anti-Semitic, Soros-funded, tax exempt Media Matters who led the campaign.

In other news: during this failed boycott, Limbaugh's ratings have increased across his 600 stations while CNN's ratings have collapsed, and the Washington Post is sinking almost as fast.

Limbaugh is part of New Media; he was New Media before the term New Media was created, and New Media is winning on many fronts these days. Much of this has to do with the rise of Twitter, which allows everyday Americans to fight, converse, and exchange information without the filter of the corrupt mainstream media.

I started listening to Rush in the summer of 1994. He was, is, and always will be, the best. A true patriot. A beacon in the darkness of liberalism and statism that has enveloped our nation. The panty wearing liberals who boycott his advertisers will have no effect. Rush gets the last laugh.

Not only is El Rushbo the best talker. But the humor is of the highest quality. The Update songs were always a favorite of mine.

There has been a new development in my market (Topeka, KS). Huckabee is on, and head to head with Rush....and pitching for Carbonite :).

We shall see how this goes - Rush will probably dominate the time slot.

Now we know why Rush has the “media tweak of the day”.

He has an absolutely loyal audience, something very few have and most celebrities would kill for. And as long as that audience stands, nothing will damage him, except for true government tyranny. (They are trying, but so far attempts like the “fairness doctrine” is failing.)

He’s a classic case of any attention at all is better than no attention. When will libs learn that their best bet is to ignore him? My guess is the only reason they DO keep him on their radar is because it is part of their plan to fleece their own flock - just mention “Rush”, and suddenly all their little non thinking sheep send some money.

A 1% drop in revenues from the left’s massive effort to have advertisers boycott the Rush Limbaugh show.... Hysterical.

Here’s a question: Compared to a 1% loss to Rush’s employer, how much revenue did these advertisers lose in revenue? Losses attributable to not having access to Rush’s audience and/or his endorsement of such products. Losses attributable to those of us who counter-boycotted these advertisers products.

For those advertisers, particularly any that spoke out against Rush, I’d say you’ve got a self inflicted wound- you’ve been Dixie Chicked.

How many people, conservatives AND!! liberals, when Rush intimated that Fluke might be the s word, thought to themselves before he said it, “she sounds like some kind of slut.” I’ll bet millions. In short, Rush spoke what a lot of people, like myself, were thinking. Those people will not turn on Rush for saying what was on a lot of people’s minds.

Rush has reigned as King of Talk Radio for a quarter century, in spite of the left’s attempts to demonize and silence him. He has competed and won in the marketplace. As he always says, he doesn’t give equal time, because he IS equal time! He is a proud conservative. The MSM purports to be objective, but is obviously the PR and propaganda wing of the Democrat party. When they have to compete in the marketplace, they lose—Air America, Current, OWN, CNN, MSNBC, and major newspapers. NPR and PBS would be in the scrap heap if not for taxpayer funding. The MSM has 0 credibility!

The Place for Conservatives

Liberals do not want liberty for anyone. They would rather dictate what we do, what we buy, where we go and when, and what we can do while there. Please donate.
The Republic you save may be your own.
