In the US, liberal Jews are fighting for their Brie.
Some of us are armed, pro-guns, and have used them, including my son in Iraq, my late editor’s son in Israel (KIA), and a whole bunch of Jewish soldiers in Vietnam.
As a Russian Jewish emigre’ once told me about those Jews who didn’t view the Soviets as our enemies, “We too have our asses.” That applies to too many American Jews re Iran, Red China, Hugo Chavez, and the Palestinians.
The leftism of liberal Jews and some conservative Jews is due mainly to the success of Communist propaganda in the US over the past 90 years. They convinced a lot of people who hated the Czar that communists were their saviors and a whole bunch of people bought it, hook, line, and sickle. And still do, esp. in academia.
However, some are finally waking up and the shift will be noticeable in November.

I remember being shocked reading Richard Rhode's "Dark Sun" and the telling of the espionage efforts stealing US nuclear secrets and selling them to the Soviets. The spy networks were almost 100% Jewish. Rhodes never attempted to explain this treachery, just recounted it.
That seems like an incredibly lame explanation, poof, suddenly in 1920 almost all American Jews suddenly became genetically left wingers, when before they weren't.
