Petition on WH website to move DNC from NC
The White House ^ | 5/9/12

Posted on 05/10/2012 7:43:34 AM PDT by ReagansRaiders

A petition has been created on the White House's website asking them to move the Democratic National Convention from North Carolina on account of the state voting to ban gay marriage.

Here's a great opportunity to embarrass the DNC and Obama. Head on over and sign the petition (you need to create an account to do so, so be creative -- just like people are when they make donation's to O's campaign.)

I would think forcing them to remain in a hostile state would be a good thing. Someone explain why we should get them to move.

Can I ask the dumb question, about where do they want to move the convention to instead?

If they want to move it to protest their marriage amendment, remember that about 30 other states have these amendments, and 12 other states define marriage in the traditional marriage by regular statute law.

So, if they really want to move it to protest about marriage, the convention will have to be in New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Iowa, or Washington, DC. Possibly it could be held in Washington state or Maryland, as these states have passed laws to allow homosexual marriage, subject to voter referendum.

If they want to move the convention and boycott North Carolina, to be intellectually honest, they have to boycott the vast majority of the country, which still defines marriage in the traditional manner.

Plus we’re a right to work state, have a Republican majority legislature, and look to soon have a Republican governor (both due to conservative momentum, and as a result of Democrat scandal and corruption).

YES! PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!

Rewarding their friends: condoning gay “marriage”.

Punishing their enemies: Screwing North Carolina out of all the economic benefit of holding their convention there.

Hey NC dimrats, how’s that hope and change working for ya? You supported him and now he is screwing you.
Imagine just what he will do to YOU if he gets a second term. obama will punish everyone including other democrats.
You all carefully think about that.

Hell of an idea.

I would bet that the city of Charlotte and the state won’t mind at all.

Personally I would like to see the state of North Carolina throw it right back in the DNC’s face by announcing their refusal to allow the convention to be held there.
