PHOENIX (AP) -- Federal authorities sued America's self-proclaimed toughest sheriff Thursday after months of negations failed to yield an agreement to settle allegations that his department racially profiled Latinos in his trademark immigration patrols.
The U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit marked an escalation in the agency's civil rights investigation of Joe Arpaio and puts the dispute on track to be decided by a federal judge.

As well they should be. I’m surprised Holder fell for the trap. Now Joe will get national airtime for his investigation into Obama : )
I do believe that Joe did catch a few Chinese an pasty white blue eyed bosnians an Serbs on those patrols.
Holder is going to jail someday. He will go to jail.
Regardless he will be judged in the end for his sins.

Sheriff Joe needs to start deputising more of his supporters.
I would love to see several thousand deputies standing between Holder and Joe.
I would think this would convince any AZ voters who voted for Obama that made an enormous mistake. I doubt that is the case, but I would think that, anyway.
Holder will end up in one Sheriff Joe’s pink jumpsuits.
