Expect Dr. David Scheiner, MD will be slapped with violation of patient privacy and sundry federal charges courtesy Eric Holder’s office in the near future. It’s all to predictable.

Depending on how the doctor came to his conclusions, I do not think that is necessarily out of line. I hate to say this, but I think that even Obama is entitled to the privacy protections in the Doctor-Patient relationship.

Now, if the same doctor entered his observations in that great big database, and it got leaked by a third party with access to same... well ... the irony of the poetic justice would not escape me.

It doesn’t sound like the doctor is giving a clinical opinion based on a medical examination, rather he is commenting on Obama’s public acts and declarations. His doctor-patient relationship does not figure in any of those statements.

Still.

If W’s doctor had made the same kind of statements I would be appalled.

He’ll also get a visit from the IRS.
