Weird, I don't remember hearing about this four years ago and honestly, I have no idea who Jennifer Hudson even is. Some sort of "celebrity" I presume. I guess I'll go Google it so no need to respond.

Nonetheless, I am sorry to hear of the tragic death's of her family members and I am heartened to see the killer brought to justice. May he never again see the light of day.

Thanks. Look it up for me too, I have no idea who she is, but I’m glad this killer is going away for a long time.

Jennifer Hudson was an American Idol contestant who later won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for “Dream Girls”.

I was very pleased to see the jury convicted Balfour for these horrible crimes. He had a prior record as a violent felon (Attempted Murder and Carjacking I believe) and never should have been on the streets in the first place.

I thought the jurors might be getting wobbly when they deliberated for 3 days and started asking to review evidence, but thankfully they came through and adminstered justice.

That may be true, but he was In The Process Of Turning His Life Around when he Got Caught Up In The Law Enforcement System by Becoming Involved In A Homicide.

Ever since then, he's been Dogged By Accusations.

I can hear him now, crying out to his mama... "Mama, these accusations doggin' me!"

His wife was leaving him so he said he was going to murder her family and kill her last after she saw her family dead.

She also does the Weight Watchers commercials. Young black woman, very pretty.

Of course. Makes total sense.

Thank goodness, they were out for quite a while. And from what I read the prosecutor’s case didn’t seem that strong at trial as it had from the papers, if you know what I mean.

I’m glad justice was served, I know it will be cold comfort to Jennifer Hudson and her poor sister. I’m sure their family members are with the Good Lord now.

I am a big fan of hers, but nobody deserves something like this to happen to them.

“...I don’t remember hearing about this four years ago...”

It was such a gruesome story and yes, it did get a lot of big press, but only because Hudson is famous.

Sorry to say, but this was black intra-family crime, and that’s just not news. Since it was so awful, with the little boy not found until days later, it probably would have gotten local coverage even if no celeb was involved.

But would we be hearing the verdict now? No.

Will Jesse Jackson have a march about the unreported (news-wise I mean) crime in the black community? Also No.
