Thursday was another big money day for Team Obama. He flew to Seattle in the morning for two fundraisers and then down to Los Angeles for one at the home of George Clooney, who is an actor.
California is the political ATM for both parties. According to campaign people, the Clooney fundraiser with about 150 people was a huge success because, they said, it raised about $15 million. Makes it look like once again Hollywood is 120% behind the Real Good Talker out of the Chicago machine.
As usual, the Obama accounts are misleading. The campaign has run into considerable donor resistance this time across the board. Obama has done more than twice the number of reelection fundraisers as Republican George W. Bush in 2004 and has less to show for it.
And the Obama super PAC run by Bill Burton, who wasn't good enough to become the White House press secretary, isn't exactly overflowing with cash either, even by keeping the tainted $1 million from Bill Maher, who is not an actor.
The truth is about half of the $15 million publicly attributed to the Clooney event came from the online raffle that saw two female donors end up in the back of the tent Thursday night with their husbands.

Bull.
He wasn’t tired. He feels he is above them.
Just wanted the $$$$$$$
There are plenty of foreign governments who will pony up. Heck, Iran and North Korea will each send millions to his campaign.
I hope Clooney rot’s in hell.
I was saddened to see that Robert Downey Jr was in attendance. I thought he was somewhat conservative.
WHO was there?
When I hear someone in Hollywood is conservative, I figure that means they’re really a somewhat moderate Democrat.
But I know what you mean; I like Robert Downey, Jr.

Of course his campaign fund is paying for the flights.
Bwahahahaahahaaa Don;t make me laugh.
WE paid that bill, as we have paid for all of his campaign flights. Where is the investigation into his paying for his own campaign trips.
In order to have any investigation we must first have an opposition party.
George Clooney, who is an actor?
Amen to that.
Who he lookin' at??
Karl Rove on Fox News this morning pointed out that the $15 million dollar figure was hype—there were 140 guests so the money actually raised at that event was a bit under $6 million. They included the money raised earlier because anyone who contributed $3 got a chance at a ticket to the event (and two people won the tickets).
