No more slow-walking Fast and Furious probe
Justice has waited long enough. Its time to pull the trigger on contempt charges against Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. for withholding documents from Congress in the Operation Fast and Furious gun-walking scandal. Allowing further delay would only confirm what many Americans suspect: There is one set of laws for bureaucrats and another for the rest of us.
Congress has been waiting since October 2011 for Mr. Holder to comply fully with a subpoena seeking records in 22 categories of information about the federal firearms-smuggling operation. The attorney general has provided some material in 10 requested categories but nothing in the remaining 12. Try pulling a stunt like that as a private citizen. Mr. Holder has been able to dodge sanction so far only because he ostensibly is President Obamas chief law enforcement officer.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell E. Issa, who has spearheaded the Fast and Furious investigation, has indicated he intends to seek a contempt citation if Mr. Holder doesnt produce the requested files by Memorial Day, just two weeks away. The California Republican upped the ante recently when he circulated a 17-page draft of the charges to committee members, for which House Speaker John A. Boehner signaled support at a press conference last week.
~snip~
If Americans are to believe that no one is above the law, there cannot be an exemption for the attorney general. Congress should hold Mr. Holder in contempt.

Issa won’t do it. Obama/Holder want an election year showdown.
Exactly how much teeth does a congressional contempt charge hold?
So if He did it today, What would happen tomorrow? Senate isn’t going to follow.
Just might get more traction beating him over the head with the threat of it daily
Boner ain’t listening. Don’t know why.
I wish I knew but don’t. With decent people I’d think it’d at least shame them but with Holder that doesn’t apply.
Holder would have it framed, hanging on his office wall in a place of “honor”, within the hour.
Each chamber has subpoena power independent of the other. This is strictly a House issue.
Holder is defying the House because he knows that the MSM will take his side if the House issues a contempt citation. He knows that the MSM will call it a GOP stunt during an election year. Holder knows that when the Democrats got a special prosecutor to indict Caspar Weinberger in June of 1992, it was a direct attack on George H. W. Bush's reelection, and the MSM played their part even though Weinberger was Reagan's Sectretary of Defense, the indictment happened during Bush's reelection and the MSM linked him to Bush the Reagan VP.
I wouldn't expect the same treatment from the MSM this time around because the parties are reversed. This time around, it's the suspicious timing of the contempt charges and the political motivation of the GOP because they are racist and hate Obama because he's black and they want him to fail.

I admit the Washington Time's isn't a radical left paper, but at least they are wanting to know where the Subpoena is.
What I now feel for Holder I can't put into words. I hold Holder directly responsible for covering up the murders of Brian Terry and HUNDREDS of Mexicans, as well as orchestrating an attempt to subvert the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. And I hold the Obama regime directly responsible for every one of those murders, as well as the subversion of the Constitution.

The “Internal Investigation” (or is it the “Eternal Investigation?) is now 517 days old.....tick...tick...tick.....
There IS a process for bringing criminal charges, in which some DA will be required to prosecute. They were talking about it on Hugh Hewitt today.
The temptation to mischief with the “hold Holder in contempt?” title is too much!
I am reminded to the Wizard of Id comic strip where Rodney runs in and shouts, “Sire! The peasants are revolting!”
The King replies, “Boy, I’ll say they are!”
Greta had Issa on tonight and she tried very hard to pen Holder on a date they would issue the contempt charger. He deflected and went on about some gate being named after Brian Terry.
She then asked him flat out if Boehner was holding it up, he countered no, they would file, just trying to reach across the isle again. She then pressed, would it be before or after the election, he finally conceded no it would be before the election.
It is not recommended that anyone hold their breath until this happens, unless they have a deep seated desire to turn blue.
Then Right wing media will Have to Interview the Family Of Brian Terry ,the Border agent Murdered and get the Audio of the Whistle Blowers and the Gun Dealers Involved. This ois a No Brainer the closer we get to the election because od Issas foot dragging the more he is suceptible to Partisan Charges, none the less, the evidence that is out there in the Public domain, books published, audio tapes, this deserves a Full court Press to expose the a-hole holder and Obama.
On top of that Holders FBI is now going to Charge George Zimmerman with a Hate Crime. What a Corrupt Bunch.
Reminds me of Clinton’s impeachment. Immediately following the decision, the Dems held a big celebration party (I remember watching it on national TV). Bottom line is NOTHING will be done to remove Holder either. Every politician trying to do so will have his/her taxes scrutinized for the rest of their lives.
I am still wondering why Romney RINOs let democrates run with the Mexican vote, when it is all too obvious that Holder is a racist who hates Mexicans and who walked the guns out there to have Mexicans kill each other, render NAFTA moot and attack gun rights in America.
Amazing, isn’t it, how a racist like Holder manifests the genocide of Mexicans and yet the GOP RINO keep gives him the PC card to get the Mexican vote. This is another reason why Romney is a straw candidate, imo. Even if he were elected, he would be ineffective, just like Bush Jr.
Barry can't lose.
If he fires Stedman, he may pick up independent voters. If he waits and lets the House Republicans make a stink, it goes to his advantage as those 'racist Republicans going after a fine Atty General'.
How about doing the right thing and expose F&F for what it is? Neither side wants to 'do the right thing' and seem to posture themselves based on the political implications.
