**A single township doesn’t stand much chance against global green groups like “The Waterkeepers” who are heavily funded by the Kennedy family and others.**

We are dealing with that where I live. We have a small sural population trying to hold on to our freedom against well funded NGOs and a department of ecology run by environmental activists. It is hard to fight them and even harder to bring people in to understand the issues and join the effort.

They aren't all that numerous but they go out of their way to appear that way. Its the same dozen or so people who go to all the different townships and are members of different groups and portray themselves as concerned citizens. I'm sure my name has gone on some lists because I stand and point them out wherever I encounter them.

One local group we face is the Raisin Valley land trust.

The Raisin Valley Land Trust

They have the help of the federal and state government in the sense that landowners get tax breaks for signing on with them. Unfortunately, people miss the small print where it basically renders the property to be useless.

In Jackson Michigan, the EPA encouraged the city to impose a parking lot tax due to rainwater not reaching the ground. When the city asked who would get the money collected the EPA told them to keep it. Needless to say the city was sold on that idea.
