Palin Effect: Fischer Wins Nebraska Primary
breitbart.com/ ^ | 5/16/12 | Mike Flynn

Just two weeks ago, the battle for the GOP nomination for the U.S. Senate seat in Nebraska was between state Attorney General Jim Bruning and state Treasurer Don Stenburg. Neither inspired the growing base of conservative voters. They were, to be charitable, standard conservative-ish career politicians. Mama Grizzly Sarah Palin shook up the race with a late endorsement of state Senator Debby Fischer. It made all the difference.

I follow politics very closely, yet I hadn't heard of the Fischer candidacy until Palin's endorsement. National tea party groups like FreedomWorks had put all their resources behind Stenburg, with nary a thought about Fischer. A good reminder that these groups aren't as plugged into the grassroots as they like to claim.

The GOP-e candidate who came in second, as well as DeMint (who had endorsed the 3rd placed finisher) immediately endorsed her and said now is the time for all republicans to get behind her.

It's a pleasure to see this come so quickly. Thanks.

Media news rooms and liberal opinion writers must be completely confused on how to spin this..

Right now, they're more interested in how they're gonna keep their jobs. Many media employees are just as dazzled by the current events as everyone else and really are lost regarding what's going on.

The GOP is going to be nervous this fall having to fight for a few states that would have been easy wins (Indiana, Nebraska and maybe Utah). But I think they are probably good bets to win.

This last minute booster shot for conservatives in primary races is what Palin seems to excel in. I hope this one pays off.

I see the GOP building a good team of conservative women. And out of that team I hope we will find the first woman president.

I hope that Sarah Palin’s endorsement of Ted Cruz in the Texas Senatorial Contest (against David Dewhurst) has the same positive result as did her Nebraska endorsement of Fischer.

Would imagine she measures up like Scott Walker did to Tom Barret when he became Gov of Wisconsin...same party, different party, machs nicht - a positive difference is a positive difference.

It is 9:00am and Drudge still is keeping it off his site, he has a huge banner about a Romney poll in NC.

I think we can assume that Drudge is dropping the gauntlet against conservatives and the Palin wing of the Romney party.

He is shooting the bird at us, the gloves are off.

Rush has been on fire today about it! He also made a comment a few minutes ago - “the only war against women the Republicans have been engaged in is the establishment Republican’s war against Sarah Palin!” He’s calling it like it is!

Don’t know anything about her, but how does she stack up against Kerrey?

Nobody else got your intimation; we must be getting older.

No way! She wouldn’t be interested.

However, I wouldn’t be so sure if the nominee was Newt! Voters acted ‘stupidly’ - it is almost unforgivable, IMO.

Thanks for posting that - and who did Sarah vote for? He should have pumped that up back then!

I haven’t been to Drudge since Bloody Thursday - so I’m not surprise to read he still has his head in the Romney hole. He lost credibility and he can’t get that back - he works now by the orders of others.
