Hillary: ‘Government Cannot and Should Not Control Any Individual's Life’ By Pete Winn May 16, 2012

(CNSNews.com) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, told an assemblage of human rights and “civil society” activists gathered at the State Department Wednesday that “government cannot and should not” control the lives of individuals.

“(T)o make the case for civil society is really quite simple because government cannot and should not control any individual’s life – tell you what to do, what not to do,” Clinton said, taking part in a “Global Dialogue of Civil Society.”

Clinton said that any “sustainable society” must have three “legs” to stand on: an accountable government, a free-market economy, and civil society.

“The economy has to be in the hands of those who are the entrepreneurs and creative innovators,” she said. “But it is in civil society where we live our lives. That’s where our families are formed; that’s where our faith is practiced. That’s where we become who we are, through voluntary activities, through standing up for our common humanity. And so, as we see the explosion of civil society groups around the world, we want to support you.”

Civil Society is a buzzword for U.S. efforts to bring “social change” and “democracy” to countries of the world by working with “civil society activists” around the world.

Clinton drew on her own experience as a social activist to illustrate what the U.S. supports.

“I started my career working in civil society,” she said.

If this surprises you, raise your hand.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'll go ahead and raise my hand to Hillary.

“Sounds like Hillary isn’t into ObarryCare”

With Hillarycare, she didn’t want people to use their OWN money for their OWN health, if it wasn’t in the insurance.

If the Democrat party gives the boot to "the first black president" -- in favor of "the first womean president" -- they will lose the black vote. Forever.

OTOH, if he steps down because of "birthers" and the Rats let him go for Hillary, not only will they still vote for the Slave Party, Zero may just get the insurrection he wants.

Yes, but to Hillary and her ilk, there is no such thing as an “individual”, only the collective.....

Thanks Sub-Driver. She's just another left wing liar.
Clinton said that any "sustainable society" must have three "legs" to stand on: an accountable government, a free-market economy, and civil society.
To maintain civility, we need the 1st Amendment (which is why the left pushes for "hate speech" and "zero tolerance") and the 2nd Amendment (which follows right behind the 1st because some people are hard of hearing).

Hillary! RomneyCare/ObamaCare!

The government has claimed rights to 100% of your earnings. You are a slave! Your boss did it. He patterned his plan after the Republican Nominee!

We’re so screwed.

Nothing that the shameless Clintons do to destroy this nation surprises me. They own Barack Obama, and will foreclose their lien at the time and place they choose.

They dictate the who, what, when, and where of every detail in the Obama administration—which is truly just a Clinton shell. I hate them as much as I did when they burst on the national scene in 1991.

Their rise is full of pure wickedness, and unfortuantely even many conservatives on this site have forgotten the depth of their depravity and willingness to do anything that it takes to remain in power. IMHO they are still in power, I really believe that.

And therein lies the problem: getting the Narcissist-in-Chief to "step down".

She said very publicly, hoping to be elected someday by appealing to people who aren’t communist but are dumb enough to not realize that she is communist based on everything else she’s ever said or done.

Well that would be interesting, but you see, he's also the Coward-in-Chief. IOW, he wants to live and knows damned well that people of real means can do whatever they want with him.

Except when it TAKES THINGS from them, making them poor as snot. Has anyone ever seen snot do anything of its own free will? No. Gravity controls it in the same way the state controls individuals after government takes enough things away from them. But noooooo, she wants to take things away from them, lots of things, not control them... riiiiight.

When they assert something-—they mean EXACTLY the opposite.
It keeps them in practice for lying.
