The best theory I’ve heard so far is that whoever reported on this incorrectly reported “intermediate” range, whereas the report actually says “indeterminate”.
Guess we’ll have to wait until the evidence is released to the public to know for sure.

... so I guess the term “intermediate range” IS in common use.
Based on the fact that the KelTec did not chamber another round, I think the gun was either jammed between the two or Trayvon had his hand on the slide.
