THC may drive the subject to a foraging raid on the fridge, followed by a long rambling discussion of nothing much in particular, periodically punctuated by "I really love you man", which ends when the subject finally trips off to lullaby land for a nice restful nap. Rinse and repeat till the dope runs out.
Perhaps the writer was thinking of PCP, Crystal Meth, or maybe Ecstasy.
