The Chicago Cubs leadership has come under scrutiny after it became known that Joe Ricketts, father of Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts, is funding attack ads against President Barack Obama.

No matter who is doing the add....if it’s the TRUTH, it is NOT an attack. It’s only an attack add when it’s against a democrat! What a darn double standard. I am sick of it and I am really sick of Romney if he doesn’t use the TRUTH to his advantage. It’s “sweet” McCain all over again! Idiots!
Yet no problem if Obama and the Democrats do the attacking. I am fed up with the double standard.
Any ad against Obama is considered a racial attack.
No one has to be racial to see that this man is bad for our country.
Obama is the one that should be under scrutiny.
Scrutiny.: 1: a searching study, inquiry, or inspection : examination. 2: a searching look . 3: close watch : surveillance
Stop looking at Obama’s race and let’s have a close searching study of his background a searching look at his campaign funding, and a surveilance of his “flexibility”.
Anyone who studies Obama and still votes for him has to have Jello for a brain.
So far his race is the only thing that keeps him from being impeached.
The leftover stimulus (still many billions) money held back may be intended to replace the revenue lost by the MSM if they turn down these ads...
The Romney camp has no legal power to stop anybody from buying air time for anti-obunga ads. That might be a reasonable project for FR if anybody was interested.
Being born and raised *almost(1)* in the shadow of Comiskey Park and natch, a life-long White Sox fan, this type of news makes it difficult for me.

Something is very fishy. I do not trust that this wasnt a “set up”. The early morning tweet from Axelrod, to the constant all knowing media jumping in, to the details already on Morning Joe lambasting anything Ricketts and all who DARE to question Obama. I dont like it, dont like it a bit~
I agree with you all. Media is doing preemptive strikes on anyone who “might” come out against Bambi. I do not understand the hype of ads to come, and them media shoots them down as racist or lies before they run, and demands that Romney denounce whomever is sponsoring them. This reminds me of McCain being “forced” to denounce the Swiftboat Vets for Truth even though they were being truthful.
Meanwhile, Obama’s website pillories donors to Romney and holds them up to scorn and retribution. Extremely chilling.
Maybe they got a call about those 'safety violations' at Wrigley and what a shame it would be if...well, you know...
I think it would be a nice gesture for the Ricketts family to invite Obama to throw out a first pitch at Wrigley Field. He could bounce one up to the plate again in his mom jeans, while the media would dub him the Black Koufax.
If you live or work in Chicago, you have no right to free speech.
Just because Obama hates America, doesn’t mean you’re free to criticize him!
