John Cornyn wants to know if ICE agent was victim of ‘Texas-based operation similar to Fast and Furious’

Texas Sen. John Cornyn said Wednesday that he wants to know whether murdered Immigrations & Customs Enforcement agent Jaime Zapata “was a victim of a second Texas-based gun-walking operation similar to Fast and Furious.”

Julian Zapata Espinoza, known as “El Piolin” or “Tweety Bird,” was extradited from Mexico and is being held in the United States to face murder charges.

Operation Fast and Furious is the ill-fated Obama administration gun-sales sting that is the target of congressional hearings. Border Patrol agent Brian Terry was killed with weapons that went to Mexico and were traced under Fast and Furious.

“No such connection has yet been made in the death of Jaime Zapata,” Cornyn said on a conference call with Texas reporters. “But more than a year later the Zapata family has received almost no answers from Attorney General [Eric] Holder or his Justice Department whether he [Zapata] was a victim of a second Texas-based gun-walking operation similar to Fast and Furious.”...

Same for Romney. I am unafraid of Obama 2.0 if it means we explode the socialist GOPE, remake our party and defend the Republic. How date they field a self proclaimed Progressive with a record to prove it! Not rewarding that here.

Same here. The Dooms Day hand wringing doesn't impress me. If Dooms Day comes it will be because we caved in on our side.

It does seem like Alamo time to me, too. If Republicans would just hold the dang line, pay the dang price and come back with a new team who will fight.

These Republican posers are the ones who have killed the party, crippled the nation and led us into a now imperiled future. They have GOT to go.

This is the year to stand, because this is the year that counts. But, we’re not going to do it for all the fear filled dupes and drones out here, who want no skin in the game if it’s going to be hard, or scary.

REBELLION IS TOO DAMN HARD, and because it’s scary, “let’s vote for Romney to, “save us”. What a crock.

Glad we’re standing outside the kool aide crowd nursing on that party/media line flowing out there.

:)

Cornyn does have a silver tongue and there are a multitude of suckers to be blinded by the glare, so he needs a heavy weight opponent. I too hope to see him cratered. Tea Party needs to get cracking early against him.

Right you are! If you are in OK, perhaps you should relocate to TX to lead this fight: Texans are seldom as clear-minded, it seems, in politics as are Oklahomans.

Proof: Compare Inhofe to Cornyn.... case closed.
