I noticed that...I was a little late to the party. Some people just throw anything out there and hope that it sticks!

I totally agree. Anyone who thinks that folks should have an apostrophe inserted to make it folk’s is not fit to be president.

“HOLD UP THERE GRANDMA!!!”

I agree. Please don’t use that argument. If you want to say that Mitt is the etch-a-sketch candidate ok. But I think his moral life is beyond reproach.

I just pretended to be, to get into Columbia and Harvard."

"White Folk's Greed Runs a World In Need"

Well, someone has to run it and one look at the continent of Africa suggests that one should look elsewhere for a management team. BTW, why is the would in need? Shouldn't those in need get busy helping themselves or are they waiting for the white folks to give them what they need?

Why would a white guy like hussein write something like that?

He's a black white guy, not a white black guy. Either way, he's worth $10 million, so he must be greedy.

"White Folk's Greed Runs a World in Need"

I'm no Obama fan, but isn't that quote attributed to Rev. Wright rather than to Obama?

So if one tries to pin the quote on Obama, he can counter that he's no longer connected to Wright nor his church.

Ref. Post #66: OK, my friend. So, what’s going to come of this book bio that says he was born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia and Hawaii? Is ANYBODY, besides Sheriff Joe out in Arizona and Sean Hannity, doing anything about this? This really is a BIG deal. Either he is not eligible to be POTUS or he lied to rip off taxpayers who support the higher education system. Do you have any idea if this is going to get traction or not? What about one of the Super Pacs; think they’ll pick up the ball and run with it? If the Pubbies don’t jump on this, they’re bigger wusses than I thought they were. Heck, I’d be happy if he stepped down and they gave the nomination to Hillary. I can’t stand the Clintons but I’m to the point that I truly mean it when I say “ANYBODY but Obama”.

They are Wright's words but they are quoted in Dreams. There are only two reasons to quote another person's words: to support your own position, or to use the word's to undermine the person and position of the writer/speaker. It is clear from the context in which this quote appears that they are used in Dreams to represent the author's own position.

That quote is indeed from Wright, not Obama. But if I’m not mistaken, Wright said this as part of his sermon entitled “The Audacity of Hope,” which was the first sermon heard by Obama at Wright’s church, and which made such an impression on Obama that he (i) joined Wright’s church and (ii) named his second book “The Audacity of Hope.” So “the white man’s greed runs a world in need” made quite an impression on Obama.

BTW, Wright made such an impression on Obama that he chose Wright as his spiritual mentor and later had him baptize Sasha and Malia, but that was not attributable solely to that first sermon.

“it’s just like how “Mein Kampf” was dismissed by a lot of people until it was too late, by the reasoning that the author can’t have been serious about what he wrote”

That’s an interesting analogy, especially coming from someone who knows what it’s like with these people up close and personal.

I see them blaming white people for every evil, just like the Jews were blamed by the nazis for every evil.

“Hitler’s a good man” they said. Hitler was the Obama of 1930. Hope! Change!

“Conservatives are not welcome in the republican party.. they are tolerated..”

Bottom line, the republican party has always been the liberal party, since its inception. They made a bunchof promises before the civil war about what they’d do after, and they did none of it. Just like the democrats of today.

Even some Jews in Germany welcomed Hitler thinking he was only going to go after the “bad Jews.”
