How does Hawaii have all these Leftists? The Leftists I know are all angry and bitter creeps. What do the people of Hawaii have to be angry and bitter about? I thought Hawaiians were all easy-going, good-natured, happy people.

well , it was a natural Lib flow to the West Coast from the East Coast and they didn’t stop . We think of them as ‘flotsum’ . The nice weather , the fruit , the pot , all had it’s pull . Once landed they formed enclaves and that got added to by the families they have produced . Like attracts like . Know that there are A LOT of good folks too . Lots of retired and retired military , lots of proud ,patriotic locals . Things changed as the far Leftwing socialist/commies hijacked the old style Democrat Party , which had become very successfully in control over here by virtue of the Americans of Japanese ancestry who were returning WW2 vets , entering politics and the labor movement. Having prior to WW2 being under the heel of a very patrician class of mostly white Repub landed and wealthy . So the haole Leftists found an in place Dem machine ready made and waiting for them to move right in to and co-opt and that old machine here still doesn’t fully realize that it has been hijacked and subverted . Old dogs don’t see nothing new
