RE :”Personally he lost me at the whole, “candidate for defending traditional marriage.” Really, Newt?

Early last year he was asked about his cheating on his wife on a Christian cable show show and he said that he got so caught up in saving the country that he lost his moral bearings. He cheated on his wife to save the country, I actually saw the clip.

He didn't lose me, I was with all the freepers here who scoffed at him then and and I never changed, He lost me in the late 1990s.

Now that Romney got the nomination I dread next year with either Obama or Romney as POTUS, it's lose-lose.
The only one in the R party now I like is Scott Walker. He is the only one who is truly conservative AND kicks Dems butts.

sickoflibs says, "Early last year he was asked about his cheating on his wife on a Christian cable show show and he said that he got so caught up in saving the country that he lost his moral bearings. He cheated on his wife to save the country, I actually saw the clip."

Did he admit that he had done wrong? And did he ask for forgiveness?

I coulda gone with either Cain or Santorum. Both good, Christian men without the baggage. Pity Newt didn’t endorse Santorum when Romney could have been defeated.

So - Virgil Goode for me, the only prolifer on the ballot.
