Christie's second N.J. Supreme Court nominee [openly gay] to get confirmation hearing

TRENTON — Chatham borough Mayor Bruce Harris, Gov. Chris Christie’s pick for the state Supreme Court, will finally get his confirmation hearing the end of this month.
.
.
.
Scutari today said Harris, who would be New Jersey’s first openly gay and third African-American justice, will be considered by the Judiciary Committee May 31. That’s four months after Christie nominated him, and two months after the panel rejected Phillip Kwon, Christie’s other nominee.
.
.
Kwon, a registered independent since April 2011 but a Republican in New York for the previous decade, drew criticism from Democrats who questioned his family’s finances and were concerned he would upset the traditional political balance on the bench. Republicans said he was the victim of politics.

Wow, 2 great potential VP candidates for Willard, who will surely rally Conservatives: homo-agenda-coddling (among other panders) Christie, and Amnesty Marco - who's reaching across the aisle to save the Dream Act. Which one will excite Conservatives the most?

Christie will nto be getting my vote when running for re-election. He is a major Rino. I could care less if he is fiscally conservative being that he is a flaming pile of massive corruption when it comes to values. This piece of dirt is ruining this state with his Court nominations.

LOL, so you would see another Lib in office there in NJ, watch the budget go into deficit again, see your taxes once more go up each year and that would somehow get rid of this black gay judge Christie nominated?

There are two people in America (Christie and Walker) with the stones to take it to the muni unions and take other actions to attack bloated spending and I would be proud to have either of them in my State as Governor. You do know the Rep have a gay advocate group in the ranks don’t you? The Log Cabin Republicans?

And wonder if Coulter likes this pick.

My second thought on this. She will certainly be asked; and personally; would love to hear her response to this one. A twisted path Ann walks; since her Christie cheer-leading performance.

(Certainly hope this is not RNC's/Christie's imagining a 'balance to Mitt'- per Mitt's; 'one man/woman' response to Obama. . .i.e. a tangled web made possible by stupid Repubs.)

Or, maybe not; and could be; this candidate has been in wings for Christie; for some time. . .

Given the political convolutions and self-accomodating rationales; a not altogether, ridiculous consideration, however.

Christie has been good for NJ. As good as we can hope for here in NJ. He should stay in NJ. I don’t see him providing much BALANCE to the national ticket.

I would actually like to see an [R] act like an [R]. Just because Christie is the Gov of NJ does not mean he has to nominate candidates like this. The voters did not put him in office for this reason, there is no need whatsoever for him to do this. What you are implying is that an [R] elected to state-wide or national office from a [D]-leaning state must act like a [D] when making supreme court picks? Nonsense.

I’m not happy with some of the things he does, but Christie is a million times better than any Dem governor would be. Having said that, I don’t think he has any role on the national stage.

Also

Christie goes berserk after being criticized for appointing muzzie judge:

“Sharia Law has nothing to do with this at all, it’s crazy!” he cried. “The guy is an American citizen!” He concluded that the “Sharia Law business is just crap… and I’m tried of dealing with the crazies,” adding with disgust and frustration that “it’s just unnecessary to be accusing this guy of things just because of his religious background.”

No mistake. Fits Mittens Homo agenda. Also fits nicely with Barry’s agenda. No pun intended.

Christi is not understanding the Constitution of the United States—AGAIN! Does he not understand that Just Law is Right Reason according to Nature. Only Just Law is legal and constitutional in America—all other is “null and void”.

A potential “judge” who believes that Evil is Good is disqualified. Men of ONLY good character are fit for judgeship. Any person who believes “sodomy is good” throws Natural Laws and God’s Laws on its head. That is the basis of American jurisprudence—Common Law—are based on Standards of Justice based on the laws of nature. Sodomy is not natural and is evil in the way that it is a debasement of the human body—to use it in ways that causes harm to others and self.

He is a Marxist—if he thinks a sodomite can openly serve under an oath to God-—it is an oath to Satan. The judge can not in good faith take an oath to defend the Natural Rights from God since he is for rights from Satan.

“Harris and Boisclair reported a $100 contribution to President Obama’s campaign in 2008 and $100 to Chris Daggett, an Independent who opposed Christie for governor in 2009. He also listed $1,575 to gay rights groups and to the Victory Fund, a political action committee.”

Missed the 'pun' actually/lol/; but if Mitten;s has a Homo Agenda; it is only a ruse of sorts to get elected - albeit; it is a Leaderless; cowardly; amoral stance per MO. IMHO.

Pathetic; that nothing remotely close to courage of conviction is valued from the 'core' of Repub Party. Mittens laid himself, down on tracks for 'one man/one woman' qualification per marriage. . .and now this smoker, from a Governor, who could be - is discussed as - a potential running mate for Mitt.

Pathetic, per the more threatening footnote. Should Obama manage another term; it can only be at the expense of a damning Karma; which could take good people eons to pay for/undo; or just 'eons of prayers' from same; and to same goal.

Bottom line; the challenge of our vote remains; just that.

Agree. . .no question; a good fortune; to find Leadership, that 'speaks' to the critical needs of one's State. Christie knows 'what for' - per the citizens of New Jersey - and their more immediate concerns/salvation; as a viable body politic.

Do not see Christie"s strengths captivating; nor serving; a larger - national - base; for very long.
