The founder of the Organic Pastures business in California is reporting that government health officials have begun tracking down the names and addresses of natural-foods customers and showing up at their homes, demanding to confiscate any raw milk they might have.
The dispute over raw milk has reached a fever pitch in recent weeks, with a judge ruling that owners of cows have no right to the milk their herds produce, and protests being staged by mad moms whose access to such foods is being threatened.
The latest report is at NaturalNews.com, which interviewed McAfee.
The report said Los Angeles County health department officials have unleashed door-to-door raw milk confiscation teams to threaten and intimidate raw dairy customers into surrendering raw milk products they legally purchased and own.
According to Mark McAfee, both L.A. County and San Diego County have attempted to acquire customer names and addresses from Organic Pastures for the sole purpose of sending food confiscation teams to customers homes to remove the raw milk from customers refrigerators.
NaturalNews.com quoted from one of McAfees reports:
I received a phone call yesterday morning from a wonderful young gal, a 36-year-old mom out of LA County. Shes one of our UPS customers that we deliver overnight raw milk to her house. When the CDFA was in here the other day on our recall, they demanded to have all our delivery addresses for overnight UPS delivery. We screwed up and [inadvertently] gave it to them, they got it from one of our secretaries here. The LA County health department started calling her, six or seven times, demanding that she give up her raw milk from her own home to the health department.

The shock troops are now going door-to-door, after the raw milk. (Maybe at the behest of Big Dairy?)
Nanny State PING!
This could be another “I Told You So” moment for Rush Limbaugh. He mentioned the possibility of things like this happening sometime in the future when he spoke about organic foods just this week.
Spent much of my youth on my grandparents dairy farm ... drank raw milk on a daily basis, never had a problem. At 65, I guess the drinking of raw milk had no lasting effects. Just say’n
Mark Levin had a real-estate guy call in yesterday who said that the Federales showed up to demand to look at renters’ records.
No ID....no warrant.....nothing. Had to do with ‘lead paint’, I believe.
Guys......the frog is POACHED.
SO who exactly owns the milk that my herd produces?
If it's the case that I don't own the milk, then it logically follows that I don't own the eggs, or the young my herds produce either.
Nor do I apparently own the garden crops that my garden produces, nor the seeds with which to plant the next generation, nor do seed companies own the seeds their operations produce so they have no right to sell them. < /s >
Mexifornia gets nuttier by the day. And they can't figure out why people and businesses are leaving it in droves.
Let the Mex's have the place. Just send the lefty idiots down to south America first.
Udderly unconstitutional. Fascists. This is NOT a FREE country at all.
And nothing will be done about this.
wow, I used to have to buy goats milk for my baby who couldn’t process pasteurized cow milk. Guess that was criminal, huh? Better to let him be hungry?
The peasants must get all their food through the big-government/big-corporate monopoly, that way when the time comes to reduce the human population they just have to flip a switch and cut off the food supply.
Farmageddon. If people drink raw milk, they’ll be missing out on the daily recommended dose of recombinant bovine growth hormone. Mmmmm rBGH. Mmmmmonsanto.
Everything you posted is part of their plan. I’m harvesting okra this year from plants I planted last year. This year I’m going to try that with all my vegetables. Unless the feds are monitoring this and come and burn my garden. And I wouldn’t be that surprised if they did.
Groan and lol :-)
Its time to start shooting if they show up with these demands and won’t go away.
Rush (whom I love and respect) has his head up his azz on this particular subject!
Does he really think his personal chef is serving him GMO? Or Obumbler’s chef is serving him GMO for that matter?
No, poison is only for “the peons”... the population control will continue.
Rush’s opinions on organic food are based on sheer ignorance, he knows not what of he speaks.
Can bankrupt California really afford to waste precious budget funds on this nonsense?
Just a preview of how the knuckleheads in both parties think they have a right to rule. We have to take over the local govts and put a stop to this. Don’t let one little slight of rights pass because it becomes the lever to take away the next right. If you see a camera on your street light, ask your county boys who in the f put it there and who is paying for it. Chances are they don’t know but once you tell them about it they will start asking questions. They probably won’t like it either and with your support they will light a fire under someones ass.
I second that!
I, too, drank raw milk for the first twelve years of my life - didn’t realize it came any other way. It always tasted funny in the spring when the cows had been eating some kind of weed or another. We had four cows, one of them a Jersey who gave about half cream. Before school one was mine to milk, then run milk through separator and then wash everything up - all before going to school. Sunday dinner always included home churned ice cream - half raw milk and half raw cream mixed with right-out-of-the chicken fresh eggs, lots of sugar and pure vanilla. None of it was cooked. Mom also made homemade cottage cheese. Never will forget the smell - still makes me gag to think about it. But none of this must have been too bad as I’m still around many, many years later.
Jury nullifications and unfortunate accidents.
so you can go to the store buy rat poison and drink it, but buying raw milk is a “federal offense”.....
OK....
hello 1984...
If anyone thinks they won’t go door to door for guns, take note here....
The raw milkers are using some questionable tactics — they’ bending the truth into propaganda. I find that insulting.
That being said, big government can go chug draino.
I have access to super fresh chicken eggs — still warm and covered with, er, stuff. They taste incredible compared to the anemic eggs at the super market. I have to assume I’m missing a similar treat with other market products — milk, meat, etc.
I can’t decide if the enemy is big government, or just a lot of really stupid shoppers. I guess it’s both.
It’s ok to drink raw milk as long as you had a rabies shot.
I see that you have this socialism thing figured out quite well.
Vote obamey/holder...
The milk at Organic Pastures was contaminated with Campylobacter. Like many of the pathogens that contaminate raw milk, this bacteria can be lethal. Organic Pastures has a history of flouting the law and having its products recalled (this was the 5th recall since 2006). I'm surprised it is still in business.
Dairies that sell raw milk lie to their customers about the safety of raw milk. Personally, I'd like to see them held financially liable for treatment of diseases caused by raw milk--maybe they'd be a little more willing to tell the truth to their customers.
"RUSSIAN COMMUNISM: You have two cows. You have to take care of them, but the government takes all the milk."
The thugs and thugettes from the CDFA should be greeted at each home with loaded firearms, tar, feathers and a rail to ride on!
Huh?
How many people in the US die from drinking the milk of rabid cows in a decade?
oh... the Bowman solution...
My tagline used to be
“Go Galt now, go Bowman later”
I wonder if Heritage Defense would step in in cases like yours.
They are a legal team that fights social services when they overstep and attack families for being weird (ie, Christian).

Thanks for the ping!

Home made cottage cheese is much tastier than the saw dust in the stores
Its ok to drink raw milk as long as you had a rabies shot.
Where in the world did you get that idea..........It’s false.
Funny thing about your tagline now is that ‘Humanist’ used to be a person who ascribed to the notion that man is the highest/crowning-jewel of God’s creation.
That is ironic about “humanism”. Humanists hate people. They love “humanity” in the abstract, but hate people.
I explained it to my kids this way - it has to do with where your source of truth comes from.
A theist recognizes that truth is reality as God sees it.
A humanist derives truth from human reason alone.
Well does the government admit that you own the cows? If not, then they can feed them and pay for their vet expenses! sarc/off
No. It’s the prettiest state in our country. They can’t have it. We have to recapture it. I propose it be busted down to territorial status until it can govern itself. Though that might not be a good precedent to set.
I spent the first 18 years of my life drinking huge amounts of Alta-Dena Dairy raw mik and never got sick from it...don’t know if they’re still around but their milk tasted great, always delivered in the mornings to our door.

Only a couple of people die per year of rabies in the US. For all I know, the handful whose exposure to rabies was not traced back to an animal bite got it from drinking raw milk of a rabid cow. It is SOP to track down people who are known to have consumed raw milk from rabid cows and administer the prophylaxis. This happens every few years.
There is little scientific literature on whether rabies virus has been definitively identified in rabid cow's milk. However, that means little: the most recent human survivor of rabies never did have a lab test that definitively demonstrated rabies; the lab tests were all inconclusive. She was diagnosed based on symptoms. The only way to be sure of finding rabies virus is by the same method that has been used for decades: examination of brain tissue collected post-mortem.
According to this article, in countries where there are far more rabies cases than in the US, transmission of rabies from mother to infant through breast milk has been documented. There is, therefore, no reason to think rabies couldn't be transmitted through raw cow milk. Pasteurization kills the rabies virus; in the countries where rabies runs rampant, milk is typically boiled before use, so rabies transmission through the consumption of raw milk has not been observed.
