Abol Fotoh: Egypt's next president? By Paul Cruickshank, CNN
The religious pragmatist who might be Egypt's next president By Paul Cruickshank, CNN May 23, 2012 -- Updated 1814 GMT (0214 HKT) (CNN) -- Abdelmonen Abol Fotoh, an independent moderate Islamist candidate for the Egyptian presidency, and one many tip to become the country's first freely elected leader, if he gets through this week's first round of voting, has been a busy man these last weeks. The Egyptian Erdogan? ... No friend of Israel One of the most striking features of Abol Fotoh's campaign has been his strongly worded depiction of Israel as an "enemy." Although such rhetoric is unsurprising given the Muslim Brotherhood's Palestinian wing Hamas is still at war with Israel, he has been one of the most hawkish of any of the leading presidential candidates on Israel. Political calculations may have played a role as Abol Fotoh said in the presidential debate he believed "the majority of Egyptians are enemies of the state of Israel." http://edition.cnn.com/2012/05/23/world/africa/egypt-abol-fotoh-interview/index.html

Abel Fotoh is my enemy? Egyptians are my enemy? Wah. There. Now I’m over it.
Right.
Evidently the rise in Christian persecution and anti-semitism in Egypt by Muslim Brotherhood is a “hawkish thing...” says CNN.
“Pragmatic” as if being practical means being reasonable and is preferred to the much messier faithful. It seems that the Nazis, Stalinists, Maoists and other Progressives can all be “pragmatic” in their approach. It just doesn’t portend goodness.

I’ve read that, in the Third Reich, anti-Jewish measures were intensified. But that’s no excuse to go traipsin’ off and startin’ their own country on land stolen from the millions of innocent Palestinians they murdered.
Yeah, here’s the tag: /sarc

Their “view” must be. That if there are wise Islamic-Fascists... Than the “ordinary” extremists must be sugar coated. So, we, n the West are “comfortable.” Erin Burnett of the CNN just showed what Egyptian mainstream schools teaches 8 years old about Jews... Arab Islamic racism at its best

Thanks. I missed that one. Saved.
Say again?
A "moderate Islamist"? What will we hear of next? "Moderate" Nazis, perhaps?
Both of these, of course, can be found in the same place as square circles...
Shame on those who didn’t see this coming right from the start of that “Arab spring.”

I suppose moderate Islamists beat infidels only half to death/s
