Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committees, Socialist Patrick Leahy, threatened Chief Justice Roberts weeks before the Obamacare case decision is to be made public.

Senator Leahy -

“I trust that he will be a chief justice for all of us and that he has a strong institutional sense of the proper role of the judicial branch,” said Leahy. “The conservative activism of recent years has not been good for the court. Given the ideological challenge to the Affordable Care Act and the extensive, supportive precedent, it would be extraordinary for the Supreme Court not to defer to Congress in this matter that so clearly affects interstate commerce.”

There are 535 people in Congress that need to take a long walk off a short pier. Find their Lemming leader du jour and send them on their way.

Would’ve been nice if the Democrats in Congress would respect the PEOPLE.

This is the same Senator Leahy who tried to get Lake Champlain added to the list of Great Lakes. LOL!

leahytoast Leahy_2a One of the MEANEST, NASTIEST, SOB's in the Senate....

...and that came from fellow Demo-Rats....

Let us not forget that this TRAITOROUS, bottom-feeding, rat-basturd, was kicked off the Intelligence Committee for leaking HIGHLY SENSITIVE and Clasified Information (numerous times) to the media and his actions "may" have been responsible for an Israeli Agent's death.

As a life long resident (going on 69 years...on and off) of this People's Socialist Republic of Utopian Moobats (which once upon a time, before Bernie Sanders moved here was a nice Conservative State) I am ashamed of our 3 Congresss Critters and believe VT is one of the MOST Liberal States in the Nation.

Can't wait until Nov when I will move (for good) and never look back.

Me thinks that there is no Statute of limitations on treason and me also thinks that the leak(er) in the SC needs to be impeached, what do you think Kagan?

The Court has already made its decision, Leahy. All that remains is to agree upon the opinion.

Whatever happened to the Vermont secession movement of a few years ago? I should have sent them a check.

It is a safe bet the Kagan texted Zero about one nanosecond after she had the first opportunity what the vote was.

That his why got so much more unhinged after the vote.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the SCOTUS has already ruled on this; they just don’t publish it until the end of the session. If so, it’s too late to influence the Court. I suspect they all know that would be futile anyway — how many SCOTUS judges are going to be cowed by threats from Pat Leahy?

This is all a show for the benefit of their demoralized base.

Yes the vote has been taken, but justices have been known to change their mind before the formal decision is handed down, after reflecting on their decision and reading the other justices opinions.

Yup, vote taken but change possible. IMO it’s just the libs stirring up the base and setting the stage for chaos once the ruling is made public.

The Dems know full well they have no direct power over SCOTUS but as always they wish to portray the illusion of power they do not possess. They count on the silence and unwillingness of the court to publically ‘fight back’. That’s why they made so much hay over the “That’s not true’ deal at the SOU. I guess it does help them consolidate the power they do have in a ‘united front/rally the troops” sort of way, but they can do nothing, short of a naked usurpation. And the results of that would be ugly for them.

Yea I think Obozo would have left it alone and not unnecessarily picked a fight with SCOTUS had the vote gone his way.
And I don’t think for a second that he doesn’t know how the vote came out.
