Ten feet should do it, .12 seconds of travel for the round at 2500 ft./second to go 300 ft., .12 seconds of travel for the target at 88 ft./sec, puts the target 10.56 ft. further downrange, not allowing that the shot is along the hypotenuse of the triangle.
You also get a 1st place Trophy for your excellent math skills.
The other Winner has a .50 Cal so I couldn't ignore that ;-)
