They start out the same as others - it’s the whole free-will thing that comes into play, combined with the environment people like this usually grow up in, and then seek out as an adult.
I’m by no means excusing this man’s behavior, but God did not make him that way... We could speculate about the Devil and demons, but that would be giving the man an excuse and to blame everything on Satan isn’t *fair* either, in my view (although that would be easiest in cases like this).

Satan tempts... Man *chooses* the path Satan suggests.
