City Official Consults Ouija Board Before Vote

City official consults Ouija board before vote

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — A San Francisco supervisor says he consulted a Ouija board before city leaders voted on whether to recommend naming a Navy ship after slain gay rights activist Harvey Milk.

Supervisor John Avalos tells the San Francisco Chronicle (http://bit.ly/KnVnbu ) that he believes he made contact with Milk's spirit and that Milk spelled out letters indicating: "Good riddance to don't ask, don't tell." The Board of Supervisors approved the non-binding resolution Tuesday on a 9-2 vote.

Milk was a city supervisor and former naval officer. He was fatally shot in 1978 by Dan White.

Supporters say the naming would honor the repeal of the 'don't ask, don't tell" law barring open homosexuality in the military.

Opponents say Milk opposed war and it would be inappropriate to name a warship after him.

Naming ship after Milk wins support

It is official: The San Francisco Board of Supervisors backs the idea of the Navy naming a vessel after gay political leader Harvey Milk. But the decision came only after debating the power of symbolism and consulting with a spirit board.

The nonbinding resolution, approved on a 9-2 vote, urges the secretary of the Navy to christen a ship the USS Harvey Milk. It supports the request of San Diego Rep. Bob Filner, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee.

These people are nitwits and should secede from union they contribute nothing to this nation that is noteworthy. People are leaving in droves, last one out turn the lights out.

No surprise here since the `devil-board’ gets its name from `Oui’ and `Ja.’

19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I'm sure dabbling in paganism would produce some stories. Stories that would be interesting only to those who disregard & ignore G-d our Father's Word and dabble in/practice paganism.

Of course, that someone in Sodom-of-the-west (sanfransicko) would do such a thing isn't surprising whatsoever.

I prefer to go to THE source, the guy that taught Jesus everything and from whom Jesus changed nothing and continued teaching:

Among you, there shall not be found anyone who passes his son or daughter through fire, who practices stick divination, who divines auspicious times, who divines by omens, who practices witchcraft, who uses incantations, who consults mediums and oracles, or who attempts to communicate with the dead. Anyone involved in these practices is repulsive to G-d, and it was because of repulsive practices such as these that G-d, your Elohim is driving out these nations before you. You must therefore remain totally faithful to G-d, your Elohim. The nations that you are driving out listen to astrologers and stick diviners, but what G-d, has given you is totally different. In your midst, G-d,H will set up for you a prophet like me from among your brethren, and it is to him that you must listen.

If G-d said, Jesus then too said it, and if G-d and His son told me to follow it, then I'm gonna follow it.

Why of course.

Wouldn’t surprise me if these blokes did get devils to answer them on the Ouija, but again even devils have standards.

Jeez, what does this nutcase do? Before every meeting of SF Board of Supervisors he uses his Ouija Board to know how to vote on an issue?? How long has this NUTCASE been on the board??

OOps, my Ouija board said that Milk will endorse Zero and all dead people in Chicago will vote for Zero. Also, my Ouija board is saying that Teddy Kennedy is having an affair while Marilyn Monroe. :)

I will confess - I often post the Truth from God’s word on one thread and a crude joke on another.

Well, I personally would prefer drawing straws or flipping a coin, but flipping a coin is kind of passe` and not sure that drawing and quartering ones opponent would be superior to drawing a straw or drawing a Straw Man but in SF drawing a Straw Man is virtually impossible because the majority would complain it wasn’t a Straw Woman or Straw Select-your-own-gender.

Then again, we all knew that while naming a ship after G Bush The 1st was not really a good idea, the naming of a ship after G Ford was downright ridiculous...When the Libs take over all 5 branches of Government, you can foresee USN Ships named after Clinton, Pelosi, Obama and other assorted clowns and don’t forget the Submarine Bawney Fwank which will set records for long tubes full of seamen going down swiftly.
