In an effort to better educate students and their parents about race relations and social injustice, a D.C. elementary school has declared Friday “Trayvon Martin Day.”
Teachers at Malcolm X Elementary in Southeast are using the unfolding case and the story surrounding Martin as part of their "Let's Keep Our Children Safe" seminar.
Malcolm X Elementary Principal J. Harrison Coleman says that she hopes the lesson will help reduce the needless violence and bullying in the community.

Coleman said that every adult who attended the seminar would receive an Arizona Iced Tea and each student would get a bag of Skittles.

D.C. public schools represent a baseline from which all education should be judged.
So, all the little kiddies will make up some stupid sounding gangsta name for themselves, break into some local residences, smoke some pot and attack people? Maybe, instead, they should have a Zimmerman day so they know just how dead they can become if they do.
A “Let’s Keep Our Children Safe” seminar, huh...
Must teach kids not to smoke dope...
Or abuse cough syrup...
Or sell drugs...
Or steal jewelry...
Or participate in street fighting....
Or attack the neighborhood watch guy.
And the parents probably learn not to leave their delinquent kids at bab daddy’s sugar momma’s house, with no supervision.

Racism and social injustice?? Getting them off to an early start in not accepting responsibility for their own future and relying on entitlements.

At some point, productive Americans are going to have to split away from this government funded pathology.
Maybe they’ll give out free hoodies & skittles.
So did they all deface public property, do drugs, bring burglary tools, have jewelry they can’t account for to school and lastly charge an armed man to get shot?

Almost every sentence in this article is amusingly depressing.
Yeah. She suspended every student in the school for 10 days so they could relate to Trayvon.
