I had the same issues, but I switched to the 10 and 12 round drums from (of all people) ProMag, which are getting rave reviews. They are probably the only reliable ProMag I’ve ever seen or heard of.
My 20 round drum mag is a ProMag product. I bought it last year and set it aside. When I went to the range last month I noticed the back of it was cracked. I called ProMag and they told me that they had a lot of problems with that. I sent it back and they sent me a new one very quickly. I’ll let you know how it works out when I get back to the range again.
