Erik Erickson, editor-in-chief of RedState.com and a CNN political contributor, reports that he is the latest conservative to be "SWAT"ed.

It was my understanding (at least in the Frey case) that they're tapping into the outside phone line to make the call appear to come from the residence!

Cops don’t need a warrant to get your cell phone information. They do it ALL the time without one.

Unless you have a 10 yr old cell phone then there is a little chip in it which will tell the cops where the phone is.

My stepson works as a 911 calltaker in Florida. I thought that when a call comes in, the caller’s phone number appears on the calltaker’s screen.

Burner prepaid cellphone bought with cash.

E-911 doesn’t work like that, they don’t use the caller-id system, they use the billing info system. Somebody is about to have a bad day because this type stuff is a felony in most states.

It does. The problem is, anyone with a fair amount of technical knowledge can spoof not only the caller ID, but also the originating number. I'm not the sharpest tool in shed, but I know how to do it, and it sure isn't difficult especially if spoofing a cell phone (SIM cards are easy to clone).

The problem is you can go to Wal-Mart and pay cash for a pay by the minute phone. The number still shows up but it is not traceable.

I don’t think all that many of them care, as long as they get it.

I was unaware tha you can call 911 and block the phone number. That doesn’t sound right.

NONE DARE CALL IT FASCISM....

you can try Stalinism....they seem to gravitate more toward the radical Marxists and though they will never admit being a Stalinist(or Maoist), they won't complain much but when you see that twinkle in their eye and the knowing glance, you know you have hit the target....

The obvious solution is to take the SWAT teams off of the Spring Loaded “ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK!!! - IF IT MOVES, SHOOT IT!” position.

If you look at all the hoops the military has to jump through, DURING A WAR, before launching an attack and compare that with the bozo SWAT teams who continually get the wrong house, kill the family dog, respond to false calls, etc. you wonder if we are headed to a ‘Police State” or a “Keystone Kops Kountry”?

Sigh. I’ve had to make two 911 calls in the last year or so and it’s already a long ordeal while they get your name, address, phone number, number of people in the home, type of problem, who you voted for in the last election, race, creed, color, stool sample. It’s already gotten too cumbersome and now this is going to make it worse. I think where I am they actually make you hang up and then they call you back.

Leftists are disgusting, low life, pond scum. They have no morals and the only thing they thrive on is hate. They are brain dead little communist trolls who don't have one clue how communism really works. Well it doesn't but they are too dumb to realize it.
