SIOUX FALLS, SOUTH DAKOTA, May 29, 2012, (LifeSiteNews.com) – A PR hand for Planned Parenthood, who is running as a Democratic candidate for state legislature, has been cited for DUI and Careless Driving after police say she collided with a seven-year-old girl who was riding her bike through a crosswalk.

From the Madville posting, one person comments that she cannot withdraw until after the primary (according to state law):

May be a technical maneuver, Stace. She says she’s withdrawing, but it’s not official until Gant gets papers. My read of state law is that the party only gets to fill the spot if a candidate withdraws after the primary. It appears Toft needs to hold that place until next week Wednesday.

I would think that this should make a more attractive Democrat candidate...possibly showing promise for national office.

Could it be driving drunk impaired her ability to stop in time?

Could it be being drunk impaired her ability to stop in time from hitting the ugly stick several times?

Toft was trying to do a 7 year ABORTION when she ran over the 7 year old.

Like a MORON she is she doesn't care about a life!!

Hope the child is fine...and the child's parent SUE Toft and Planned Murderhood...

The Argus Leader has some good information on this.

But according to state law, she is still considered a candidate.

From the Argus Leader article:

Candidates cannot withdraw until after the June 5 primary, meaning that Toft is a candidate until the Republicans choose their District 10 candidates.

However, the Argus Leader contends no one was injured, but the little girl was transported for possible internal injuries. According to the LifeSiteNews.com article, it is unknown if the girl is injured at this point...
