The Obama campaign is bracing for Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker to survive his recall election next week, denying that a victory means anything for President Obama's chances in the fall.
"This is a gubernatorial race with a guy who was recalled and a challenger trying to get him out of office," Obama deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter said on MSNBC Wednesday. "It has nothing to do with President Obama at the top of the ticket."
Asked whether the recall showdown means anything for the November general election, Cutter told host Chuck Todd, "No, I don't think so."
Some Wisconsin Democrats and labor officials have privately groused that the Obama campaign has not sufficiently been involved in backing Walker's challenger, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett. Neither Obama nor Vice President Biden have been dispatched to campaign on Barrett's behalf.
Cutter, however, said that sending the president to Wisconsin was no cure-all in the recall election.
"If you think that the secret weapon here is sending President Obama, then, you know, I'm pleased that you believe that. But I think that actually having people organizing and volunteering and turning out the vote and doing everything they can that actually affect an election is actually more powerful," Cutter said.
Cutter insisted that the campaign and the Democratic National Committee's help for the Barrett campaign has been significant denying reports of stingy help.
"I think that people on the ground are looking at the significant resources that we are putting into that race whether it's people organizing on the ground, using Obama for America organization, which is one of the best in the country and certainly very powerful in Wisconsin, raising money for Barrett, sending surrogates on the ground for Barrett," Cutter said. "And I think that the Barrett campaign is pleased with what has been done by the DNC and Obama for America."
Please add me to your Wisconsin ping list! I have friends in Wisconsin and made my very first trip to visit them a few weeks ago. Had never seen Wisconsin and what a beautiful state! GO GOVERNOR WALKER!
We Floridians will join all our Wisconsin patriots in a nice pig toast next Tuesday when Governor Walker does exactly that! He will send a wonderful message to Obama and his sidekick, Debbie Wasserman S***Face!
You are on this list!
Your beautiful state will be watched by all next Tuesday, and we Freeper patriots everywhere will be hoping Walker wins by a landslide!
I bet Debbie will not want to have news media following her much since her crowds will not be very presentable! Of course the MSM would claim thousands showed up to see her!!
Go Karen Harrington!
This means they believe the We ask America likely voters poll showing Walker up 54/42 with a sample size bigger than the next 3 L/V poll samples combined - all of which have Walker up between 5 and 8 points. This is going to be fun to watch.

I read somewhere that the Union thugs who backed Falk in the Dem Primary are not enthusiastic about supporting Barret because he is not the Union whore that Falk is. He’s just an Entitlement whore.
There should be a very tasteful ad, or flyer, made up, to show, and distribute, in Debbie Wasseman-Schultz Congressional District, informing her constituents that Debbie is so powerful that she went to WI to save the day for the Recall effort and drew a whopping crowd of 75 people. Pics showing the abysmal crowd should be included. And how’s this for a title for the flyer and/or ad?
HOW POWERFUL IS OUR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVE? SO POWERFUL SHE CAN’T DRAW A CROWD OF A HUNDRED PEOPLE !
Obama to Wisconsin unions>>>>>>>>> Yer on yer own bitchiz! Axelrod doesn’t want his jug eared wonder sullied by the smell of defeat
