SOMERVILLE (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren received a boost on Wednesday from none other than Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

Gov. Patrick, Warren, and grassroots supporters met on Wednesday at her campaign headquarters in Somerville just days before Democrats head to Springfield for the party's nominating convention.

Warren has endured a rough few weeks following controversy regarding her Native American ancestry. At the event, Gov. Patrick stepped in and responded to a question about Warren's ancestry from FOX 25's Sharman Sacchetti.

In part, Gov. Patrick replied, "On behalf of the people of the Commonwealth, we don't care about that subject."

Sharman Sacchetti also asked if Warren could say whether or not she, or any of her schools, filled out federal forms claiming minority status. Warren responded by explaining why she chose to enter the race

Sounds like the establishment has decided to rally around her so she won’t face a primary challenge. Good luck with all that...

How patrician of Patrick to speak on behalf of the people of the Commonwealth. All the good Dems will now get in line.

“we don’t care about that subject”?
Seems Warrens whole life has been a bed of lies. Goes to the subject of trust.
She’s used a lie for preferential treatment through life. Guess she did’t think she could make it on her own.

She's used a lie for preferential treatment

In almost every case, the only sign you need to hold up when protesting a Democratic politician is

LIAR

Good graphic. Need to sub in a law exam for the butter (maybe Laugh Out Loud Bar Exam), and add a little papoose sucking on her knee.

"On behalf of the people of the Commonwealth, we don't care about that subject."

Of course. Scorn of truth is fundamental to "Liberalism" (the name itself says so).

I loved it when Warren was again asked the heritage question and she said “I differ to the governor”....and then goes on with her tomahawk mantra about people getting hammered.

So if this chick is the next senator from MA she’ll be differing to a state governor on national matters? well isn’t that precious....

Check out her body language on the video - looking down, away....very skittish.

“How patrician of Patrick to speak on behalf of the people of the Commonwealth.”

Of course, he was speaking on behalf of people who for decades were willing to look the other way in the case of Ted Kennedy, so in reality, good character doesn’t appear to be particularly high on their list of desirable attributes in a Senate candidate...In short, sadly, Governor Patrick may have been speaking the truth at least as it relates to Democrat voters!

“The people involved in recruiting and hiring me for my teaching jobs, including Charles Fried - solicitor-general under Ronald Reagan who has publicly said he voted for Scott Brown in 2010 - have said unequivocally they were not aware of my heritage and that it played no role in my hiring. Documents that reporters have examined also show I did not benefit from my heritage when applying to college or law school. “

The sad thing about affirmative action hiring, which Elizabeth Warren certainly knows, is it occurs behind closed doors. The decision to designate a position for minorities only is not announced but is nevertheless made. During the hiring process, a few non-minorities are interviewed, to demonstrate the process was fair and open in the event of a future lawsuit, but the hiring manager knows none of the non-minorities will be hired. When the hire is made, it is trumpeted in press releases and internal communications as evidence the institution is fair, inclusive, and socially conscious. No one acknowledges the affirmative action process is just as discriminatory and unfair as when years ago minorities were told not to apply. The only difference is today the discrimination is not as overt and it is perpetuated by those who claim to be for equality and inclusion.

Elizabeth Warren trumpeted her minority heritage because it benefited her career, not because she was “proud” of the heritage. She knew it would move her to the front of the line when applying for positions and there was little likelihood any of the institutions would actually investigate her claim. Her Cherokee blood also helped to make her persona more popular in progressive circles, much like Obama’s Kenyan heritage made him more exotic in the same circles.

Warren’s claims of being proud of her ethnic heritage ring hollow. Anyone as proud as Elizabeth claims she is of her family lore would have devoted some time learning more about it. She certainly had the money and resources to do so. Internet search capability for genealogical data dates to the early 1990’s. Many libraries have extensive genealogy data available as does the Church of Latter Day Saints. Genealogy researchers, who will track down family history for a fee, are numerous and easy to locate. For the investment of only a few hours of her time, Elizabeth could have easily validated her ethnic heritage and learned about the actual lives and accomplishments of her ancestors so they would be more than a family legend.

A truth about human nature is people with a passion about a subject invest time and effort to learn more about it. People who use purported facts to embellish their credentials have nothing to say when challenged by facts, because they have no knowledge. We see this being played out where the liar has nothing of substance to say when confronted with the facts. Instead she employs the Marxist tactic of changing the story by accusing her questioners of attacking her mother and grandmother. The deceiver attempts to capture the moral high ground by suggesting her questioners are anti-women.

Unfortunately the voters of modern Massachusetts have demonstrated time and time again they will choose progressive ideology over moral behavior when entering the voting booth. Teddy Kennedy, Barney Frank, and now Elizabeth Warren prove the point. To the progressives the ends justify the means so a lie told to advance the cause is to be celebrated, not condemned. How far Massachusetts has deteriorated since the colonial period when patriots such as John Adams tried to be virtuous men of character while advancing their cause.

“The people of this state are so avowedly partisan that they will vote for a Democrat even if it is a lying sack o’ poop. They are real suckers that way.”
