Yeah, I know there is more than Selfridge ANGB, TACOM and General Dynamics but as far as having the potential for becoming “the defense capitol of the world”, there probably is not enough potential for adequate infrastructure, facilities and industrially zoned property to handle such a volume of defense business in all of Macomb County.
Hackel is either exaggerating the potential of Macomb County on purpose or he’s ignorant of what it would take for a single county in all of the United States to become the “defense capitol of the world” and in his case, I think it’s a lot of both.
And besides that, it would be extremely unwise to have such a geographical concentration of defense contractors, etc. due to security risks, safety and probable environmental issues.
IMHO, the Pentagon is the defense capitol of the world.
If Hackel persists then he should clarify what he means when he says “the defense capitol of the world”.
Not complaining about you, shove. Cut & paste is how it’s supposed to be done.
