Catholics and Jews are getting better but have a long way to go. As two groups go— they are not conservative across the board. Jews’ primary concern is US-Israel relationship and religious Catholics are primarily concerned about social isasues—abortion, gay marriage etc. The hierarchy of the RC church is rather quasi-socialist in its outlook. All one has to do is read the stufff coming out of the Conference of Catholic Bishops. They are always publishing stuff.
It’s the US conference of Catholic bishops, to be exact. Many countries have such conferences. The more conservative side of the Catholic church voices audible discontent with these conferences, and especially the US one. I’d even heard once that the present pope was thinking about abolishing the USCCB.
I would estimate that most American Jews are primarily concerned with advancing big government collectivism and expanding the legal and regulatory sphere.
This is why Jews in America tend to overwhelmingly vote and donate 'Rat.
