It's Barack Obama's house now, but his predecessor and political foil, George W. Bush, stole the show at the White House on Thursday with his wisecracks and grin.

"Thank you so much for inviting our rowdy friends to my hanging," the former president said, referring to members of his family and former staff, invited back to the executive mansion for the unveiling of his and Laura Bush's official portraits. "Behave yourselves," he jokingly admonished his crowd.

Bush told the current president he was pleased to know "that when you are wandering these halls as you wrestle with tough decisions, you will now be able to gaze at this portrait and ask, 'What would George do?'"

Yes. He wasn’t perfect, but he was a whole lot better than what we currently have.

Did you notice the irritated, smirky face of moochelle? From irritated, smirky, to big smile, and back to irritated, smirky.

What a dog.

Bush and his people were also hard workers.

He was up early for his morning run or bike ride, and in his office early.
He gave up golfing for a time.

They bashed him for “vacationing” at the Ranch SO MUCH.
But if memory serves me right..his staff followed him there and they continued to work.

Hopefully, in a few weeks, we can thank W again when the monstrosity called “affordable” health care “reform” is tossed in the trash.

“Bush and his people were also hard workers.”

***

And President Bush still works hard. Does much for our wounded veterans.

You’re right about his “vacations.” He took the job seriously. Was never really off duty. And neither he nor his wife took lavish vacations SF taxpayer expense.

“I think Obama’s classless, self-serving remarks at this event were an astounding disgrace, but pretty much par for the course from The Fresh Prince of Bill Ayers.”

Trailer trash families will always be trailer trash no matter how much boasting they do about themselves about how great they are.

One thing I found interesting is that the article said he crafted this speech himself as he no longer employs speech writers. On another note, the press likes to try to compare Moochelle with Jackie O’. Well, if there is a comparison to be made with Jackie Kennedy it would have to be Laura Bush. She is the first lady with the most class since Jackie O’. A beautiful woman.

Why is it that the Republican politician’s women seem to exude beauty and class for the most part? There will never be a promient republican’s wife like say Moochelle or one having a tongue ring like Dennis Kucinich’s wife.

We were fortunate to have him, especially at that moment in history.

He was truly anointed to lead at that precise time. The nation could easily have grown fragmented but he brought us together. I will always be grateful for the leadership he showed in that dark hour.

You're right. Moochelle is just a angry, hateful, spiteful, nasty maoist/revolutionary. That should cover it.

You’re welcome! Pretty interesting that you’re a portrait artist! I have always thought that could be a really tough job, getting facial expressions and especially eyes correct.

Glad you got to see them close up!

Obozo sounded like a buffoon.

And he hogged up way too much time for an event that wasn't about him.
